Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented UX Strategist to join our dynamic team. As a UX Strategist at Blue Yonder, you will work closely with the Innovation (Go to Market), Product Management and Design teams to identify improvements, with a focus on UX that will make Blue Yonder’s solutions appealing, relevant and highly competitive in the marketplace.
 

In this role, you’re always on a fact-finding mission, looking for opportunities to improve the user experience within an industry solution across the Blue Yonder platform. The issues you identify could include, but are not limited to:

  • UX heuristics best practice adherence
  • Role based homepages in need of better configuration and/or content
  • AI agents to enhance user experience
  • Product improvements (capabilities and functionality) that accrue to the user experience
  • Sales demo configuration improvements
  • Storytelling improvements (demos, marketing, sales/presales, etc.)

Success in this role will require an understanding of:

  • UX best practices
  • The industry
  • The users, by role
  • Customer and Prospect Customer’s business needs and goals

You will collate your data from user and customer feedback, win/loss reports, competitive analysis, demos, product managers, industry experts and more. This is not a designer role, but design skills are hugely helpful in understanding these issues and being able to articulate them in actionable ways for the User Experience team. This role advises, reviews, and offers feedback as to whether the proposed solution addresses the issue and adds value for users and customers.

What you’ll do:

  • Immerse into an industry solution to understand where it fails (or succeeds) with current customers, prospective customers and compared to the competition
  • Identify specific issues and challenges and articulate them in ways that are actionable for designers, engineers and product managers
  • Identify the impact of improvements in terms of value add to the competitiveness of the product so that the design and product teams can prioritize accordingly
  • Flag issues that require research to define or validate
  • Participate in reviews to ensure proposed enhancement addresses the problem
  • Understand industry trends and help to proactively identify enhancements and innovations that would maintain and increase our competitiveness in the marketplace

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Product Management, UX Design, UX Research, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Anthropology, or a related field
  • Experience in UX field with recent 1-2 years in design, research, or UX Strategist role
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • A passion for user-centered design and a curiosity about user behavior and motivations
  • Experience in the supply chain or Ecommerce fulfillment industry (preferred)
  • Experience in software sales/pre-sales or go to market strategy (preferred)
  • Experience in product marketing (preferred)
  • Understanding of research tools and methodology (preferred)

The Salary Range for this position is $120,000 to $155,000

The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data.  Minimums and maximums may vary based on location.  Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors.  In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
