The Eligibility team plays a crucial role in our healthcare organization, managing the essential process of member enrollment across all our clients. We handle significant volumes of sensitive data that directly impacts individuals' access to their health benefits—effectively serving as stewards of what we consider the "currency of healthcare." Our work directly supports operations teams in their mission to maintain seamless, uninterrupted membership services for our clients.

What you'll do:- Drive the continued technical solutioning, design and development of our member eligibility platform
- Become an essential part of a cross-functional team of highly skilled engineers
- Help push forward the development of the engineering department as a whole
- Engage with our operations team to help them improve their overall efficiency
- Help define and enhance Eligibility Platform capabilities from configurability, reuse and scalability perspective.
- Have 8+ years of working as a backend engineer
- Are well-versed in technologies such as Java & Spring
- Have deep experience in Cloud Technologies (AWS preferred)
- Have experience with data architecture and SQL
- Skilled in using and enabling AI Development tooling like Github Copilot and Cursor for daily software development
- Communicating clearly up, down and across teams
- Have prior experience architecting, building, launching and maintaining complex systems
- Balance getting things done with making things perfect
- Take pride in mentoring other developers
- Love working with a team of awesome, collaborative co-workers
- Like to be involved in the decision making process, taking into account the needs of our customers as well as our company
Our Tech Stack
Our backend services follow microservices architecture using Java and Spring Boot. We use cloud services (AWS) as our backbone, with Kubernetes and Docker for our orchestration. We use PostgreSQL for our databases, and Python & Spark for large scale data workloads. For the frontend, we have a React-driven architecture.

This is a hybrid position based out of one of our offices: San Francisco, CA, Plano, TX, or Lehi, UT. Hybrid employees are expected to be in the office three days per week (Plano, TX) or two days per week (San Francisco, CA and Lehi, UT).#LI-hybrid
The actual pay rate offered within the range will depend on factors including geographic location, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition to the salary, you will be eligible for stock options and benefits like health insurance, 401k, and paid time off.
