As a Staff Software Engineer on the User Growth and Acquisition team, you’ll play a critical role in architecting and modernizing back-end systems to support user growth initiatives. You will leverage your technical expertise to enhance system architecture, implement best practices in security and risk management, and drive innovation through both coding and design. Your work will help evolve our infrastructure and billing architecture to improve scalability and efficiency.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead the design of scalable, high-performance architecture for our billing and user acquisition systems.
- Drive the evolution of legacy systems, focusing on modernizing existing infrastructure to support growth initiatives.
- Conduct in-depth security assessments and implement architectural best practices that meet compliance standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure architecture aligns with business objectives and growth plans.
- Write clean, efficient code to implement architectural designs and deliver robust back-end solutions.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship to the team, promoting best practices and high-quality standards.
- Oversee audit and risk management protocols, ensuring systems meet both internal and external security requirements.
What We're Looking For:
- Extensive experience designing and scaling large-scale backend architectures.
- Minimum of 7+ years in software engineering, with a focus on large-scale architecture.
- Strong knowledge of modernizing legacy systems and implementing security measures.
- Proficiency in risk management, security auditing, and compliance for backend infrastructure.
- Java/Kotlin, experience with Spring framework or similar backend technologies.
- Familiarity with security assessment tools, risk management platforms, and best practices for backend optimization.
- Demonstrated experience working with Product, Engineering, and Security teams to align on technical and business requirements.
- Ability to lead by example, offering mentorship and guidance to other engineers.

Base Salary
- The US base salary range for this full-time position is $234,000-$316,000.
- The range displayed on each job posting is based on Noom’s estimate as of the date of publication and reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position across all US locations. The actual placement of the candidate within the range is based on factors including but not limited to relevant experience, assessment of functional skills and behavioral competencies, and scope. This range is not inclusive of any discretionary bonus or equity package.
