Your Team:

You would be part of the Monetization team, our mission is to drive long-term revenue growth by maintaining and evolving our payments platform, as well as delivering innovative payment models like Subscriptions.

• We’re a tight-knit team of three engineers, one Engineering Manager, and one Product Manager, working together to build and optimize seamless, scalable payment experiences.

🤹 What we do:

• Own the payments platform, PSP integrations, and the checkout payment flow to ensure reliability and efficiency.

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders and other teams to ensure smooth integrations and high performance.

• Develop and maintain Node.js microservices while leveraging GCP Pub/Sub messaging for event-driven workflows.

• Prioritize quality and maintainability, balancing fast iteration with long-term technical sustainability.

Your responsibilities:

•  Collaborating with the team and partnering with the Product Manager to continue the design and redesign of the Taxfix product with a user-centric focus.

• You’ll be responsible for driving the evolution of our payments infrastructure by:

  • Shaping the next phase of our subscription models to enhance customer experience and business value.

  • Leading initiatives that directly impact end customers, ensuring seamless, reliable, and scalable payment experiences.

  • Revamping the payments platform, optimizing its architecture to improve efficiency, maintainability, and long-term scalability.

  • Elevating quality and stability, implementing best practices to enhance system reliability and fault tolerance.

  • Strengthening our infrastructure pillars, ensuring our platform is robust, scalable, and ready to support future growth.

  • Lead architectural and technical decisions within the team, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall technical roadmap. Inspire and contribute to a shared technical vision, focusing on designing the simplest, most effective solutions to complex challenges.

• Mentor junior engineers and organise pair programming sessions to work together on technical challenges.

• Work closely with your team in crafting high-quality software and enforcing best practices and coding standards

• Help your Engineering Manager create a strong team culture that cultivates a collaborative, transparent and inclusive work environment.

• Be involved in the recruiting and employer branding initiatives of your team.

Your profile:

•  4+ years of experience in backend engineering with Node.js, developing large-scale and scalable products. Strong expertise in designing and optimizing backend services for high performance and reliability.

• Deep knowledge in developing scalable web and mobile applications, with expertise in React Native for mobile development and React with Redux for frontend web and mobile components.

• Experience with microservice architecture and using modern JavaScript and tooling for development.

• Experience with Pub/Sub messaging in GCP for event-driven architectures.

• You enjoy writing maintainable and elegant code, and you know how to establish and maintain good engineering practices in the team.

• Previous experience mentoring other engineers.

• You are familiar with agile practices and how to apply them in building complex software products in an iterative way.

• Experience with A/B experiments and have a data-driven attitude towards product development.

• Understanding of DevOps culture, and you have experience implementing automation pipelines to continuously deliver well-tested software.

• You are a pragmatic person with a positive attitude, and you can work autonomously and overcome challenges with passion.

• You are fluent in English.

• Experience in Fintech/Banking software development is a plus.
