We’re fully remote and welcome candidates from anywhere in the US! We have all-company offsites a few times a year where we fly the whole team out to meet in person, build stronger relationships, kick off important projects, and have fun!

💼 Job Summary
We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer - Applied AI to join our team. As the Staff Software Engineer - Applied AI, you will be responsible for owning the end-to-end application of AI while working closely with Product and Engineering teams to proactively identify how AI can be used to improve every existing feature.
💻 Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Go-to-Market teams to identify opportunities for AI applications that improve the functionality and UX of our portal
- Utilize modern AI techniques to solve complex problems including practical applications of existing models, Anthropic & OpenAI
- Stay at the forefront of emerging trends in ML/AI, proactively bringing new ideas and technologies to the team for evaluation and potential implementation
- Contribute to the overall technical strategy, aligning AI initiatives with business goals and ensuring long-term scalability and performance.
✔️Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing scalable, high-performance backend systems
- 3+ years of experience solving complex problems using modern AI techniques
- Experience with existing models in Anthropic, OpenAI
- Solid technical foundation, combined with constant curiosity to stay on the creative edge of ML/AI solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Proven track record in mentoring and coaching engineering team members
- Previous experience at a hyper growth startup is a plus

✏️ Noteworthy
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The base pay for this role starts between $225,000 and $275,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is eligible for equity and benefits.
