Job Description
- Designs and develops test cases to ensure coverage of internal and external customer expectations by analyzing and understanding system requirements and design specifications; applying standard test case development techniques.
- Reports tests coverage of the assigned test packages by continuously documenting test results during test execution.
- Design & execute test in manual and automated way to verify the product functionality based on requirement.
- Creates & setup the automation test environment consisting of both hardware and/or software by understanding the system configuration.
- Reports defects/failures with clear and concise description into Defect Management System (RTC or similar) by following standard defect description structure.
- Involves in defects resolution together with software developer by providing supporting information as well as retesting resolved bugs on every release.
- Work as individual contributor or technical leader to interface with internal or external customer on testing related topic.
Additional Key Responsibilities for Staff Role:
- Applies high degree of special technical practices in system test e.g. test automation, vehicle networking test and/or other special test areas
- Provides instruction or coaching to others at junior positions.
- Contributes toward test project success by leading improvement suggestions
- Lead test projects of up to medium complex scale (if applicable).
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering / Science;
- Knowledge of testing approaches and techniques in Software Development Life Cycle;
- Experience in test project management.
- Knowledge in using defect reporting and tracking system;
- Knowledge in automotive communication protocol (CAN, Ethernet, UART and etc.)
- Knowledge in automotive Head Unit and Connectivity Unit functional and performance test
- Knowledge in automated test design and programming skill is an added advantage (Python, XML, Excel Macro);
- Good communication and interpersonal skill;
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and integrate well into a cross-functional team;
- Experience in complete test system & workbench setup & design.
Additional for Staff Role:
- Leadership experience in technical projects (min. 3 years).
- Expertise in system testing execution and tools (min. 5 years).
- ISTQB certification preferred.
- Ability to coach others.
