As a Staff Product Designer, you'll impact the lives of everyday people and help them move from surviving to thriving with digital personal finance solutions. This role is consumer-facing with a strong focus on business growth and performance. You will design and optimize critical conversion flows while ensuring that consumer experiences are simple, cohesive, inclusive, and meet a high bar of functional and visual design quality and effectiveness. You will play a key role in shaping the design vision, strategy and execution of our products. You will collaborate closely with marketers, designers, researchers, writers, engineers, and product managers. You'll be responsible for owning the end to end design process, from discovery and ideation to prototyping, testing and execution with a concentration on experimentation. You'll invest in building relationships, educating the organization about the importance of design while championing and demonstrating best practices.
What you'll do:

  • Proactively partner with marketers, designers, engineers, and product teams in understanding key user needs and directly contributing to business objectives.
  • Build and develop user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to communicate solutions to cross-functional partners.
  • Create and execute A/B tests to drive experimentation and iteration towards enhancing user experience.
  • Focus on performance optimization by identifying drop-off points, bottlenecks, and opportunities to improve acquisition and engagement.
  • Conduct competitive explorations and leverage conversion best practices to develop new and innovative approaches to boost performance.
  • Use, contribute to, and evolve our design system to maintain consistency and scalability across products.
  • Take ownership of learning the industry and helping your teams reach business outcomes through a data-driven approach.
  • Facilitate design workshops, brainstorming sessions, and collaborative activities to foster a co-creation environment and ensure design quality.
  • Enable teams to build products without friction through detailed documentation of guidelines, recommendations, and processes.
  • Effectively communicate the intention and constraints within your design work to partners and stakeholders in order to drive clarity and alignment.
  • Mentor other designers and support their growth through guidance, feedback, and setting an example of best practices.


Qualifications
What you'll bring:

  • 8+ years' experience working as an Individual Contributor as a hands-on Designer on multiple products
  • A growth-oriented and data-driven approach, with fluency in conversion optimization via rapid iteration and experimentation leveraging A/B testing and performance results.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design tools.
  • Experience in creating consumer facing design solutions that scale across platforms and devices (desktop, mobile, etc).
  • Demonstrate a high bar of quality in both interaction & visual design and strong technical skills.
  • Knowledgeable about new technologies and processes within the field of design, WCAG requirements, Android, and iOS guidelines.
  • Track-record of success working with a variety of cross-functional stakeholders and partners.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Ability to communicate complex interaction concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences across the organization.


Nice to have:

  • Experience using and contributing to a design system.
  • Experience in evangelizing consumer-centered thinking across all levels, creating a vision, and aligning teams to execute it.
  • Knowledge of marketing and brand strategies and best practices.

Salary Range: $145,000.00 to $170,000.00 per year plus bonus and benefits. This information represents the expected salary range for this role. Should we decide to make an offer for employment, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
