Summary:
The IT Scrum Master will be the interface between IT Agile Teams and Dexcom corporate and business stakeholders to execute the technology strategy for assigned projects. The IT Scrum Master will serve as member of the IT Scrum of Scrums and facilitate the coordination of Agile execution and practices across multiple IT Agile Teams. This cross-functional position will report to the IT PMO.
The IT Scrum Master:
• You will provide overall guidance for Scrum teams to adhere to Agile principles and practices. This includes sprint team backlog refinement, estimating and sizing effort, release planning, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• You will guide and coach the Scrum Team(s) and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values while also meeting delivery commitments.
• You will assess the Scrum Maturity of the team(s) and organization and coach the team(s) to higher levels of maturity at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization.
• You will provide Agile execution metrics and KPIs to IT leadership.
• You will support and educate Product Owner(s) in refining and managing the product backlog(s).
Where you come in:
• You are a member of the IT Scrum of Scrums and IT Scrum Master Council.
• You will oversee the Scrum process and provide guidance to the Agile teams.
• You will lead the Agile team and apply Scrum to achieve business value.
• You will facilitate Scrum routines and correspond with management as needed.
• You will facilitate process improvement in the use of the Agile Tool for tracking work (JIRA).
• You will integrate with project, technology, and business partners to manage projects and be proactive in gathering status updates from partners, while minimizing impact.
• You will support Product Owners in short and long-term release planning, backlog health, and preparation for execution.
• You will coordinate, facilitate, and lead multiple distributed Agile Teams.
What makes you successful:
• You are a Certified Scrum Master with a minimum of 7 years of in-depth experience in IT, including 5 years as a Scrum Master and 2 years as a Scrum Master for a Scrum of Scrums.
• You have experience being on multiple Scrum teams in various contexts, including different team sizes, organizations, cultures, and both co-located and distributed teams.
• You bring experience in assisting historically waterfall teams and organizations with Scrum adoption.
• Your proficiency includes knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques such as User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, and Agile Games.
• You have experience in assessing the Scrum Maturity of teams and organizations and coaching them to higher levels of maturity at a sustainable and comfortable pace.
• You have experience managing interdependencies between agile teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
• You have Atlassian/JIRA Certifications (Administrator).
• You have experience with the Smartsheet Project Management tool.
• You have experience with JIRA X-Ray Test Management.
Desired Skills:
• You have experience in one or more of the following functional areas: Manufacturing/Production applications and processes, enterprise integration, and infrastructure projects.
• You have knowledge of other approaches discussed in the Agile space, such as XP and Kanban.
• You have experience with DevOps methodology and execution.
• Your Project Management certifications are a plus.
• You are an expert user of Atlassian apps, including Jira and Confluence.
