Highly talented, motivated and proactive Software Developer required to participate in core activities of development efforts, like planning and estimating, designing and coding, installing products and supporting production environments. Must also have excellent communication skills.
What you’ll be doing
As a Staff Engineer, you must be a software development expert with an extensive and well-rounded background in developing large-scale software systems. Main responsibilities for this position include:
- Designs, Analyzes, and develops software applications that are highly distributed and scalable
- Monitors and assesses the health and performance of the software applications and databases
- Works on cloud-based and distributed computing platforms where scale and complexity are considered
- Participates in agile software development for enterprise-level systems including component design and implementation
- Applies deep understanding of application and enterprise software design for implementation of data services and middleware
- Be extremely patient in studying the credit business domain knowledge
- Work with Cross-Functional teams to program, validate and co-ordinate software releases
- Provide production application support in a 24x7 environment
- Provide analysis and coding for complex software assignments
- Provide technical guidance, code reviews and support development of systems
- Develop re-usable patterns and encourage innovation that will improve team velocity.
- Research emerging topics related to assigned tasks.
Qualifications
More about you
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Management is required.
- 8 to 10 years of professional development experience in Linux-based and cloud-based distributed systems
- Hands on experience on AWS (s3, EC2, ECS, EFS, RDS, etc.), or other cloud platforms
- Proficient with C/C++ programming language
- Hands on experience on Java, Springboot, Rest API, Spark, and scripting languages is desirable
- Experience with MySQL (RDBMS) and database design and hands on experience with performance tuning (both heavy writes and reads) and complex queries
- Proficient with Enterprise Security, Agile and Change management standards
- Good understanding of distributed software applications including system integration, testing, and troubleshooting
- Experience in monitoring the health of distributed systems and strategy for error detection and recovery
- Systems integration experience, including design and development of APIs, Real-Time Systems, and MicroServices
- Ability to work with version control systems, such as GIT (branching, merging, etc)
