POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Accounting Leader and Senior Accountant, in accordance with GAAP and other organizational principles and objectives, the Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the financial statements. The Staff Accountant performs cash management, along with other accounting duties. This role provides prompt, accurate, courteous, "best in class" service to the Profit Center, our partners, the leadership team and all staff.
Essential Duties and Functions:

Reviewing cash management for proper deposits and balances

Identify processing expectations that inhibit application efficiencies and recommend solutions

Manage money moves and ACH transactions
-
POC for cash movement questions/issues in the various bank accounts

Daily Deposits
-
Perform batching of refund and commission payment
-
Maintain and reconcile accounts with Excel knowledge.

Refund and Stale Date Administration
-
Oversee multiple lockboxes with collaboration of the cash application team
-
Assisting the Accounting Leader and Senior Accountant with Month-End Close
-
Prepares in-depth financial analyses and research to support, and facilitate timely management decisions and/or financial reports or statements

Develops and maintains documented accounting systems and desktop procedures for fiscal functions and assist in the development of company internal control policies and procedures

Completes ad hoc reporting as requested from Finance and other internal departments.

Required

Bachelor of Accountancy

1+ years’ experience in corporate accounting and finance or similar position

Proficient with MS Office Suite and at minimum an intermediate level user of Excel

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Personal flexibility around the monthly close cycle to execute on tight deadlines
