The Staff Accountant position will be responsible for maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with close processes including but not limited to journal entries, supporting documentation and investigating/analyzing discrepancies. Successful accountants should understand GAAP accounting principles and key steps in the financial close process.

- 21+ and currently residing in the US in EST or CST time zone
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assist with monthly close processes.
- Maintain documentation for month-end closing procedures.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Perform bank reconciliation as assigned
- Meet operational and reporting deadlines.
- Work cross-functionally with other departments within and outside of Finance
- Respond to information requests, review financial statements, and assist with audits.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP.
- Additional duties as needed.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Professional experience in inventory, delivery, or related position
- Organization, systems management, and integrity

- Relationship databases in connection with accounting and business processes
- General understanding of US GAAP and core accounting cycles

COMPENSATION
- $55,000 - $65,000/year (dependent on experience)
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Heavy computer usage.
- Sit for a long period of time.
- Must have vision with or without lenses adequate to read reports and computer screen.
- High manual dexterity.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (required)
- 0-2+ years of experience in an accounting role (required)
- Working Knowledge of GAAP
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- QuickBooks experience is preferred but not required
- Good problem-solving, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in an agile, fast-paced environment
- Highly responsive and reliable
- Must be 21+
