Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts receivable (A/R), accounts payable (A/P), journal entries, reconciliation, and payroll, with experience in ERP and accounting systems. This is an on-site, full-time role based in Buellton, CA.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and process accounts receivable (A/R) transactions, ensuring timely and accurate billing and collections
- Perform monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and payroll functions
- Assist with financial reporting and general ledger maintenance
- Ensure the accuracy of financial data through regular audits
- Utilize QuickBooks Enterprise and other accounting systems for various tasks
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Maintain attention to detail and accuracy in all financial transactions
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely financial reporting
- Handle day-to-day accounting tasks independently with minimal supervision
Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounting roles, with a strong focus on A/R, as well as experience in A/P, payroll, and reconciliations
- Proficient in Excel, QuickBooks Enterprise, and ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in financial reporting
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks
Compensation
- $37-38/hour
