What You'll Do
In this role, you'll work closely with the Accounting Manager, and other members of the Accounting team to ensure Flatiron's Monthly Close process and reporting are completed timely and in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS standards.

  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations for various areas including cash, accounts payable, and expense accruals.
  • Assist with accounting activities for Payroll including the preparation and booking of journal entries and monthly account reconciliations
  • Assist with process improvement and automation efforts to streamline Accounting operations and improve the quality of closes, and internal controls
  • Ad Hoc financial reporting projects


Who You Are
You're a kind, passionate and collaborative problem-solver who values the opportunity to think beyond the way things are. In addition, you're detail oriented with 2-3 years of experience in accounting.

  • You have a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or relevant certification
  • You have strong Microsoft Excel skills (i.e. vlookups, sumifs, pivot tables, subtotals, etc)
  • You have the ability to manage a high volume of transactions accurately and effectively
  • You have superior organizational skills and attention to detail
  • You have excellent interpersonal, writing and communication skills
  • You are able to constantly prioritize and to change or adapt to any situation
  • You are a goal-oriented, logical, quick-learner
  • You are familiar with working in a tech-enabled company
  • You are interested and excited about understanding and building systems and processes


Extra credit

  • You have experience with Netsuite
  • You are fluent in Japanese or German

The annual pay range reflected above for this position is based on the preferred primary location of the role which is listed in the job description. Salary ranges for other locations vary from the range reflected above. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. An annual bonus and equity may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
