About this Opportunity:

As a Staff Accountant, you will help expand controllership function and help transform processes, roles/responsibilities with stakeholders, enhance controls, and implement business partnering support model. Develop an in-depth knowledge of tools and applications in support of the accounting function; lead projects that will cultivate efficiency through elimination, standardization, and automation. Develop and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams. Serve as a trusted advisor for stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Support processes to ensure accurate and timely financials; work towards process improvements to eliminate inefficiencies and increase controls. In this role, you'll get to:

  • Create business processes and identify areas for automation

  • Ensure data integrity across platforms 

  • Maintain revenue source reporting 

  • Partner with Decision Intelligence team and Data Governance Committee to maintain data definitions 

  • Assist in the testing and documentation of internal control procedures and assistance in fulfilling with information requests 

  • Ensure adequate control and reporting mechanisms are implemented to maintain the integrity of revenue calculations and revenue reporting 

  • Identify potential revenue recognition risk for nonstandard terms and structure 

  • Performs month-end procedures and maintain documentation of reviews and approval 

  • Work on ad hoc projects and provides information to appropriate management personnel 

  • Buildout and integrate processes for acquisitions 

  • Maintain systems to accurately invoice clients and calculate sales tax based on product and customer location 

  • Focus on process improvement and identify areas for improvement around revenue recognition and sales taxability of revenue 

  • Assist with training and coaching other team members 

  • Assist with the development and documenting of policies and procedures, including system requirements and internal controls 

 

We're looking for talent who:

  • Has knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls

  • Possess expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel

  • Has ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision 

  • Has ability to rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

  • Possess strong Analytical skills

  • Has proficient skills with Microsoft Office software including Visio and Outlook

  • Has effective interpersonal skills with ability to work in a team-oriented environment

  • Be results oriented with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while providing quality support service to the business

  • Has minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or in Business or Finance with an accounting emphasis

  • Obtain Orion Industry Certification

  • Has minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting

  • Has Salesforce and/or Power BI proficiency

  • Owns and manages relationships with stakeholders directly and work effectively with people at all levels in an organization

Salary Range:

$46,923.00 - $68,078.00

The pay listed in this posting indicates the estimated pay at the time of this posting; however, may vary depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
