Reserve is a cryptocurrency project. We want money that doesn’t inflate like USD, but isn’t volatile like Bitcoin. We believe the global reserve currency should be an index of the world’s assets: stocks, bonds, gold, real estate, and more. That’s the ultimate purpose of the Reserve protocol, which lets anyone create a new currency backed 1:1 by a collection of tokenized assets.
ABC Labs contributes to the development of the Reserve protocol and helps to support and grow the Reserve ecosystem.
Role Summary:
Our accounting team consists of a Head of Finance and an Accounting Manager. You’ll report to the Accounting Manager and work closely with the Head of Finance. Your primary responsibilities will include tracking and reconciling transactions, starting with ordinary banking transactions, and growing into stablecoin and volatility cryptocurrency transactions over time. If you are DeFi-savvy or DeFi-curious, you may have the opportunity to learn the nuances of DeFi accounting, including working with Cryptio and/or other DeFi accounting platforms, but this is not part of your role as it’s already owned by our Accounting Manager. Our accounting team is responsible for the books and records of two corporate entities, and on an annual basis, compiles together records from several other entities for consolidated tax filing purposes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Solid understanding of accounting, broad knowledge of GAAP
- One year of experience with transaction tracking and reconciliation
- Strong internal motivation to get the details right and do things the right way
- An analytical mind with good organizational skills
- A strong command of the English language
Nice to haves:
- Experience with Xero (which is what we use)
- Experience in a small team or startup environment
- Interest in cryptocurrency (though no experience required)

What We Do
Reserve’s mission is to Increase adoption of & expand access to sustainable, inflation proof, stable currency.
Reserve is a free, permissionless platform on Ethereum mainnet to build, deploy and govern asset-backed currencies referred to as “RTokens.” RTokens are always 1:1 asset-backed, allowing for permissionless minting and redeeming on-chain by users without the need for any middlemen. Overcollateralization is provided by RSR governance token stakers. Each RToken can have an entirely different governance system and is governed separately by ecosystem stakers. The Reserve Protocol launched on Ethereum mainnet in Oct 2022 and completed its fifth audit in Feb 2023.
The Reserve protocol enables the creation of a new kind of money that holds long term value better than fiat currency.
