Staff Accountant

Job Details:

Responsibilities

• Participate in ongoing monthly accounting team activities across multiples entities including:
  • Prepare or assist in tracking and recording client and intercompany billings
  • Assist with monthly closing, account reconciliations and financial statement preparation
  • Assist with client, vendor and employee set up and records maintenance
  • Review of accounts payable activity and batches prior to disbursement
  • Cash management including preparation of weekly reports and bank reconciliations
  • Weekly/monthly expense report management
• Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
• Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and alert management where necessary
• Assist with the preparation of ongoing monthly reporting for clients, company management, and corporate/parent accounting group accounting team on a timely basis
• Monitor, analyze and provide insight on key metrics, business activity and trends as part of client and internal business reporting
• Partner with key finance, operations and management teams to understand operational performance and identify opportunities and risks
• Interact professionally with all levels of staff and maintain the highest level of confidentiality
• Ability to handle multiple, competing priorities in an effective manner
• Other duties within the accounting function as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or similar business degree or work experience
• 2-3 years or more of accounting function experience
• Pharmacy/HealthCare experience preferred
• Experience with Great Plains or Workday a plus
