The SQA Finance team is looking for a Staff Accountant to coordinate and assist other members of the Finance team in all related activities surrounding payroll and account management (accounts receivable/payable).
To be an excellent Staff Accountant, you must be organized and detail-oriented, comfortable working with diverse teams. If you have further skills in accounting, we’d like to meet you.
The goal will be to provide additional support in critical tasks within our internal finance department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts receivable and credit and collection functions, which include billing, credit and collection, bank deposits, maintenance of cash receipts and accounts receivable records, as well as related financial reporting activities
- Accounts payable function, which involves the processing of payments and maintenance of disbursements and accounts payable records, as well as related financial reporting activities
- Payroll processing functions including verification of time and expenses
- Payroll-related human resources functions including benefits administration, handling of unemployment and workers’ compensation claims, and employee vacation and sick leave monitoring
- Fixed assets tracking and monitoring functions, which involves the maintenance of fixed assets records and related depreciation schedules, and related financial reporting activities
- Financial reporting function
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail
- Technically strong in Excel and software skills
- Highly proficient in MS Office Suite
- Local to Los Angeles and able to support at HQ in Palos Verdes
