Staff Accountant

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Staff Accountant to join the Survoy's finance team. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, preparing reports, and supporting overall financial operations. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of accounting experience and hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Perform general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and accuracy.
- Perform account reconciliations, including bank accounts, intercompany accounts, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Assist in maintaining and improving internal controls and accounting procedures.
- Prepare documentation for external audits and assist in responding to auditor inquiries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Stay updated on accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with systems such as Sage, QuickBooks, Service Titan and Coins.
- Previous experience with payroll, tax and external audits.
