We are looking for someone who can add value to our existing processes and methodology. Someone who can hit the ground running from day one. You should be good with Customer communication and work on various initiatives at the same time. As senior resource we expect you to be good at developing and following Standard Operating Procedure.

Key Responsibilities:

Server Build: Provision and configure Windows servers for SAP and non-SAP workloads in cloud and on-premises environments.

• Collaborate with architecture teams to ensure server configurations meet workload-specific requirements.
• Automate server provisioning using tools like PowerShell, Ansible, or similar technologies.

OS Patching and OS Upgrade: Perform regular Windows Server patching and upgrades, ensuring minimal downtime.

• Coordinate with application teams to plan and execute patching activities in production environments.
• Monitor and maintain patch compliance across all servers.

Active Directory and User Management: Manage user accounts, permissions, and groups in Active Directory following enterprise security policies.

• Configure and maintain Group Policies (GPOs) to enforce security and compliance standards.

System Hardening and Compliance: Apply and maintain Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance across Windows servers.

• Conduct regular security audits and implement necessary remediations.
• Collaborate with security teams to address vulnerabilities and enhance system security.

Volume Management and Disk Optimization: Perform volume expansion and disk resizing to meet workload-specific storage requirements.

• Implement RAID configurations and optimize storage performance for high availability and reliability.
• Monitor storage usage trends and plan capacity expansion proactively to prevent outages.

Performance Tuning: Analyze and optimize Windows server performance for SAP and non-SAP workloads.

• Troubleshoot and fine-tune CPU, memory, and I/O utilization for high-performance systems.
• Collaborate with database administrators and application teams to optimize workload performance.

Monitoring and Logging: Set up and manage monitoring tools like Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), Azure Monitor, or equivalent.

• Configure centralized logging solutions such as Splunk, Log Analytics, or cloud-native alternatives.

High Availability and Clustering: Configure and maintain Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC) for mission-critical workloads.

• Manage failover mechanisms and disaster recovery strategies for SAP HANA, databases, and other key applications.

Cloud Integration: Optimize Windows workloads for HyperScalers (AWS, Azure, GCP) by leveraging platform-specific tools and services.

• Manage cloud-native storage solutions like Amazon EBS, Azure Managed Disks, or Google Persistent Disks.

Security and Access Control: Implement advanced security measures such as BitLocker, Windows Defender, and secure boot.

• Manage role-based access control (RBAC) and multi-factor authentication (MFA) integrations.
• Incident Response and Troubleshooting: Act as a primary escalation point for critical incidents, performing root cause analysis and system recovery.
• Develop and document standard operating procedures for incident resolution.

Required Skills and Experience:

Technical Expertise:

• Proficiency in Windows Server operating systems (2016, 2019, 2022).
• Strong knowledge of SAP and non-SAP workload requirements.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Work in a true 24X7 Operations model

Tools & Automation:

• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, SCCM, or Puppet.
• Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell or Python for automation tasks.

Security & Compliance:

• In-depth knowledge of STIG compliance and security best practices.
• Experience managing Active Directory, GPOs, and implementing Kerberos authentication.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in the field of computer science, information systems, engineering,
• Relevant certifications such as COMPTIA Sec+/Windows, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Azure Administrator Associate, or similar.
• Experience working in environments with stringent security and compliance requirements (e.g., DoD, government, or healthcare sectors).
• US Citizenship
