Purpose of the Function:
Develop software for automated test systems used for testing high voltage power supplies.
Principal Responsibilities:

Create software specifications based on hardware requirements specified by the hardware engineer for test systems.

Development/validation and documentation of software test frameworks and the associated software modules that meets the requirements for the hardware, data collection, and PM routines.

Assists in project proposals and associated cost (including hardware) estimates.

Work with multi-functional teams (Production, Design Engineering, Product Engineering, Quality, etc.).

Participates in test strategy development discussions.

Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with safety policies and procedures.

Comply with the Health, Safety and Environment Policy, following the procedures and work instructions applicable to his/her activities for the participation in the established Objectives and Goals.
Competences / abilities:
-
1-2 years of experience developing automated tests in LabVIEW at a basic to intermediate level. National Instruments Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer (CLAD) or completion of National Instruments LabVIEW Core1-2.

2-3 years of experience developing automated tests, measurement, data acquisition, and control systems.

Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline (electronic, electrical, mechatronic, or directly related field).

Broad knowledge of instrumentation and data acquisition technologies including PXI, NI Data Acquisition, Agilent Data Acquisition, and signal conditioning.

Strong hands-on hardware and software troubleshooting and debugging skills.

Experience creating documentation for large LabVIEW projects and working with repositories.

Experience writing software requirement specifications.

Broad knowledge of Power Supplies functionality.

Developing in VBA or VB.NET is a plus.

Developing in TestStand and LabWindows/CVI is a plus.

SQL database development and management.
-
Development of applications with SQL database connectivity.

Special Knowledge: Demonstrate ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, contract documentation, and government/industry standards and specifications.

Skills using electrical schematic capture software is a plus.

Skills using AutoCAD or other drafting software is a plus.

Good understanding of basic mechanical concepts.

Good verbal and written communication skills both in advanced English and Spanish.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point).
