What is the opportunity?
You will join the Global Database Team as a Lead Technology Infrastructure Specialist with a mission to create a world-class automations for database operations automation initiatives.
At any given time, the GDS Development team will be working on multiple technologies across the spectrum of traditional relational databases like SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 to new open source data structures like Mongo, Maria DB, Postgres, etc. as well as working with emerging technologies in the area of UI, UX Design, APIs, ARC, Kubernetes, Compute, Storage, Network, Security, DevOps, Cloud, Containers to further our goal of providing exceptional self-service to our customers.
What will you do?
- Engineer, develop and code solutions in multiple technologies which correlate to Database automation.
- Partner with Product Owners, Engineers and Architecture to define solution design and services.
- Application development - Create the scripts, functions, and stored procedures.
- Direct and validate design solutions, contribute to enterprise strategy via development and research exercises.
- Own platform specification and design and deliver specifications for solutions and services artifacts.
- Guide feature enhancements of offerings by working closely with Application and Operation teams.
- Prioritize, drive, and validate strategies and roadmaps for Database services, platforms, and technologies.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data transformations pipelines for our ETL platform.
- Provide operational support which may include on-call responsibility.

What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 8+ years in SQL Server Development building solutions whether in back-end solutions or front-end technologies.
- Be able to work in multiple languages and understand API integration.
- Strong Hands-on experience developing and automating operational tasks.
- C# development experience.
- Ability to write complex queries to drive data result sets and tune queries for performance and reduce response times.

Nice-to-have
- Experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript, and UI interface development.
- Experience with full stack application development.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and GitHub.
- Understanding of agile principles and methodologies.
