Senior Technical Recruiter
Hivemapper is a decentralized map built by people using our dashcams and their smartphones. It represents a fundamental shift in how maps are built. Forward looking businesses use our Map API. Our broad customer base spans enterprise tech, mapping and navigation, transportation and logistics, insurance, real estate, and more.
Hivemapper is already generating billions of frames of 4k street level imagery across 3 continents. We have an internal data QA team who are available for ad-hoc data annotation and qualitative feedback, as well as large-scale relationships with high quality data labeling shops.

Hivemapper is backed by some of the best VC firms in the world. We are located in the SF Bay Area and prefer local candidates who are excited to work from our office in San Francisco. You can expect a market rate salary and early equity in a company that is on the launchpad.
The Role
As a senior member of the talent team, you will have a huge role in building and scaling the function. You will initially and primarily support engineering, but will also lead searches across other roles and functions as the need arises.
Responsibilities
Manage the full cycle recruiting process: identify, engage, and evaluate top candidates
Provide a unique and personal experience for every candidate
Help build our recruiting process and scale it on a steep growth trajectory
Represent Hivemapper accurately both internally and externally
Work with leadership on prioritization and be ok with updated priorities
Help to build a diverse team and ensure that we are creating a welcoming, inclusive candidate experience
Requirements
5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience
Experience managing recruiting pipelines for early-stage startups and successfully hired a couple of employees each month
Very focused on the candidate experience
Demonstrated excellence in sourcing relevant functional talent using sourcing tools
Self-starter and great team member
Experience with Lever is a plus, but not necessary
Big bonus for having experience with companies involved in any of the following:
- Remote sensing or robotics
- AV/self-driving
- GIS or map data
- Ride share or other tech-driven mass operations
