The Homeland and Force Protection Business Area is looking for a Sr. Systems Engineer to support Counter-small Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-sUAS) projects with our Air Force customer. Our team is focused on providing engineering and integration support throughout the entire kill chain to 20+ C-sUAS sites globally. The primary project focus for this role is a C-sUAS cloud-based integration effort.
The Sr. Systems Engineer will support the program remotely but must be local to the Greater Boston area to provide onsite support as needed. Limited travel to the National Capital Region (NCR) will also be required. As a Sr. Systems Engineer, the ideal candidate will be capable of executing independent projects or collaborating with a variety of teams consisting of customer and Leidos personnel. The candidate will be responsible for technical tasks including but not limited to requirements engineering, system architecture definition, system design and development, system integration and test and evaluation. This position will require close coordination with program management, engineering staff, and customer stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities:

Lead systems engineering efforts for engineering and integration projects

Develop system/subsystem requirements
-
Perform functional analysis, requirements allocation and analyses of alternatives

Support system hardware-software-network design, development, integration, site installation, testing and verification

Author and review technical documentation

Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Coordinate with Leidos PMO and customer stakeholders to prioritize systems engineering tasks
Basic Qualifications:
-
BS degree and eight (8)+ years of prior relevant experience or MS with six (6) + years of prior relevant experience

Must be a US Citizen
-
Must possess and maintain an active SECRET clearance

Must have experience executing projects through all stages of the Systems Engineering Lifecycle

Must be able to manage multiple assignments, handle changing priorities, and work independently

Must be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams

Must have the ability to occasionally work in classified environments, as well as customer locations
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with C-sUAS systems integration

Understanding of Command and Control (C2) frameworks

Understanding of Cloud Technology and Architecture

Operational experience with the USAF Security Forces

Understanding of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Methodologies

Experience building models with Cameo Systems Modeler (CSM)

Experience supporting USAF customers

Pay Range:Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00
