About the Role
Our Infrastructure team is made up of talented and enthusiastic individuals who have a huge amount of experience in the running, managing, and scaling of large-scale web operations and systems administration. The team works closely with the rest of our Engineering organization to ensure that the platform powering LendingClub remains reliable, performant and secure, 24x7.
As a Sr Systems Engineer, you will take an active role in designing and building the infrastructure, tools, and services delivering LendingClub’s next generation cloud platform. You will be challenged with everything from infrastructure tooling, automation, build and deployment pipelines, monitoring and logging architecture, containerization and more. You must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.
What You'll Do

Design, build and evolve our production Windows Cloud Infrastructure, strategically employing automation, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC). Use depth of cloud experience to put together elegant designs that the team will enjoy supporting

Implement and support Domain Controller/Active Directory, physical and virtual servers, database servers and high-performance storage solutions

Follow existing incident, problem, release, change management processes provide feedback to improve said processes

Remediate and resolve information security vulnerabilities
-
Document processes, automation scripts, and infrastructure assets
-
Script to automate routine tasks (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Shell, Terraform, Python)
-
Support security and compliance initiatives to include auditing for SOX/SOC/DLP/NIST requirements

Engage and assist cross-company departments with technical computing requirements
About You
-
6+ years’ experience working with Windows network infrastructure
-
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or an equivalent combination of work experience, technical certifications and/or education
-
Microsoft Certifications (MCSA or MCSE)
-
Expert level in Windows system Administration, Active Directory, DNS, OU design and management, AD Site design, Group Policy, AD security, AD certificate services, LDAP, Global Catalog, WINS, DHCP, DFS, FRS, AD troubleshooting

Understanding and experience with Microsoft Privileged Access Management Strategy

Strong AWS experience in configuration, management, and deployment of AWS environments (EC2, IAM , AMI, Security Group, VPN, ALB, Directory Services)
-
Experience with automation frameworks/tools like Git, Jenkins, and Terraform is a MUST
-
Experience with CIS (Center for Internet Security) Level standards and implementation
-
Experience with Microsoft Active Directory Assessment Tool
-
Experience with interacting and meeting audit requirements from regulatory agencies
-
Experience with Jenkins plugins and integration with GitHub
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
-
Knowledge of Git, Python, PowerShell, Bash, Shell-scripting or similar scripting languages

Experience with Agile development practices

Expert networking knowledge (packet analysis, DNS, Mail, Web, etc.)

Experience with VMware, VCenter, ESX, or other Hypervisors

Monitoring and logging experience in any of the following: Prometheus, Splunk, Syslog, OSSEC/Wazzuh, Nagios, CloudWatch, ManageEngine

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to lead projects, excellent collaboration skills with other teams, and scrum experience

Ability to drive root cause analysis and resolve incidents
Work Location
San Francisco, Lehi
We are currently working a hybrid schedule and our teams are in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Compensation
The target base salary range for this position is 158,000-195,000. The position is also eligible to receive a bonus (which is based on company performance, employee performance and eligible earnings), equity, and benefits. Our salary ranges, other compensation and benefits offered are determined by role, experience level and location.
