Group/Division

With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. The Broadband Plasma Division (BBP) provides market-leading patterned wafer optical inspection systems for leading-edge IC manufacturing. Logic, foundry, and memory customers depend on BBP products to detect yield-critical defects for process debug and excursion monitoring at advanced process nodes. BBP flagship products include the 29xx and 39xx series which leverage Broadband Plasma technology to capture a wide range of defects with ultimate sensitivity at the optical inspection speeds needed for inline defect monitoring.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

We are seeking for a Sr. Technical Project Manager to lead engineering development projects and drive project execution.  The qualified candidate will be responsible for following tasks:

  • Plan engineering projects

  • Oversee project implementation

  • Organize collaborative work functions across cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, manufacturing, and service

  • Set project integration schedules

  • Hold technical owners accountable for deliverables to drive execution

  • Identify project bottlenecks and remove obstacles for the team to focus on value-add activities

  • Hold regular meetings between functional groups to ensure interdependencies are well understood and documented

  • Facilitating clear communication across team members

  • Articulate and present execution plans for internal leadership, team members, and stakeholders

  • Lead, encourage, empower, and influence team members to achieve excellence in engineering rigor, reliability, usability, and customer focus

  • Facilitating clear communication across team members

  • Support roadmap development by detailing upcoming requirement changes and resources required

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Systems engineering principles with experience developing complex systems in the semiconductor, medical device, or aerospace industries.

  • In-depth experience with particle beam physics, electron optics or SEM technology and their related instrumentation is highly desirable.

  • Strong command of general physics, math and computational skills are also highly desirable.

  • Demonstrated analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong diagnostic and trouble shooting skills in electron optics, precision mechanical, image processing, and motion control systems.

  • Experience with scripting languages, such as Python and/or Matlab, would be a plus.

  • Agility and ability to thrive on a fast-paced program, take on assignments in a nonfamiliar domain, and respond quickly to field and internal escalations.

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate (Academic) Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 6 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 8 years

Base Pay Range: $180,000.00 - $306,000.00 Annually

Primary Location: USA-CA-Milpitas-KLA
