Job Description
Position Purpose: Second/Third line of contact for all internal customers’ needs and manage multiple HYPER-V server clusters and backup servers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide 1st line IM support by actively monitoring the IM ticketing system and prioritizing task execution, ensuring an effective IM service for the business remotely or at company location.
- Ensure that the directed IM & company standards and policies are utilized to complete tasks.
- Responsible for day-to-day support and installation of phones, network, and other technology systems within scope with aim of leaving internal customers satisfied with support and tasks followed to completion.
- Managing Server Clusters and making sure backups are done appropriately to company standards.
- Routine contact will be necessary with IM staff, IM managers within IM organization
- Create a secure IM environment with satisfied internal customers
- Support the business-related IM requests
- Complete resolution of tasks for incidents, services request & IT infrastructure changes allocated to the site.
- Working as cohesive team with IM people to ensure seamless ownership until resolution for IT requests that cross team boundaries. (Example: with IM people from others site and/or Vendors)
- Assist in lead of implementation, support, and continuity of, quality, production, and local business essential services and critical software.
- Contribute to IT support process documentation & perform training for end users. Leader in IM Provide knowledge and training transfer to end users.
- Sort recycle waste and confirm company data is destroyed before leaving facilities.
- Receive, inventory, and configure new equipment.
- Cable manage workstations and install equipment.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and install computer systems (PC) and mobile devices (iOS).
- Configure and automate software installations.
- Respond to daily user request and resolve issues in a proactive manner.
- Log time and problem resolutions daily.
- Document setup procedures and hardware compliances.
- Problem-solve printer connectivity and software deployments.
- Manage user accounts and access rights.
Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors Preferred or equivalent experience in related field.
- Support Microsoft HYPER-V and Server 2008R2-2022, SAN (Dell and HP)
- Support for Meraki (Switching, AP, Cameras)
- PC/Server diagnostics and rebuilds and desktop deployments.
- Printer and peripheral devices installation and maintenance.
- Software installation via deployment software or media.
- Configuration and addition of LAN devices.
- Backup architecture planning and execution.
- Demonstrable customer service expertise.
- Structured, analytical, and problem solving abilities.
- Effective verbal, presentation, written, and listening communications skills.
- Team Training \ Employee Training
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
- Experience managing/implementing in a HYPER-V environment.
- Experience working with VEEAM.
- ITIL certifications or Project+ or equivalent.
- Cisco Telephony.
- Microsoft Certifications, Comp TIA A+, Server+, Network+, Project+ or equivalent.
Additional Information
POSITION RANGE: $90,000 - $115,000 USD Salaried (This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.)
