ABOUT SITELINE

Siteline is a Series A SaaS startup in the construction billing space. We're a team of 28 full-time employees who live and work remotely across the U.S. and Canada, with a small in-person office in San Francisco as well.

What problems are we solving?

We're on a mission to modernize finance for construction, an industry that employs 1 out of every 10 workers, but lacks good software tools to get the job done. Payments in construction are fundamentally broken — the antiquated billing process hasn't evolved in decades, and construction is one of the slowest industries to get paid in. We've found a unique wedge into this huge market and are growing quickly.

Why are we building this?

Millions of hardworking people are affected by this broken system — in turn making construction more expensive and inefficient for society every year. When everyone up and down the chain is on the same page with payments, contractors can focus on actually building, instead of mountains of paperwork. We’re reimagining construction finance to help contractors get paid, grow their business, and build a better future for all of us.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Siteline is looking for a construction industry expert to join our team as the first Partnerships hire. As we grow, partnerships will be a key driver of our success. As our first partnerships hire, you’ll have a unique opportunity to set strategy and build processes. You’ll be at the helm, steering the vision and direction of partnerships and developing, managing, and scaling strategic alliances and channel partnerships that drive revenue growth and expand our market reach. You will work cross-functionally with Marketing and Customer Success, presenting at conferences and on webinars, and leveraging our existing customer base to drive growth. You will report to Claire Wilson, Co-Founder and COO.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Partnership Strategy: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate strategic partnerships (i.e. referral partners and integration partners) that will drive revenue growth. Build and manage relationships with key partners to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes. Set partnership goals, develop joint business plans, and track performance metrics (e.g., leads and revenue generated). Work closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure successful execution.
  • Thought Leadership: Represent Siteline at industry events, conferences, and webinars. Act as a thought leader and advocate for the Siteline solution in the partnership ecosystem. Get involved with local chapters of industry associations. In a given month, you may be attending a CFMA luncheon, speaking to a room full of MEP contractors, and taking Siteline customers out to dinner.
  • Collaboration & Alignment: Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer success teams to ensure alignment between partnership initiatives, marketing efforts, and company goals. Communicate partner feedback to product teams to help shape the product roadmap. Work closely with our Customer Success team to leverage our existing customer base through case studies and organizing events with our biggest champions.
  • Communication & Reporting: Use Salesforce to track, analyze, and report on the performance of partnerships, including pipeline growth, partner-generated revenue, and other KPIs. Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership to optimize partnership outcomes.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • A super-fan of the construction industry with 3+ years in construction, working at a specialty contractor, general contractor, construction management firm, or construction technology company.
  • A commercial mindset with 2+ years experience in a partnerships or other revenue-generating role
  • Self-starter, extreme ownership, and willingness to roll up your sleeves to tackle projects (sometimes with little guidance)
  • Public speaking experience, ideally in the construction space
  • Analytical and process-oriented mind with the ability to think strategically along with willingness to execute and build from the ground up with a “no task too small” mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to present to diverse audiences and effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and customers
  • Willingness to travel up to 10x per year

Bonus Points:

  • Familiar with Salesforce and collaborative communication tools (we use Slack, Notion, and Google Suite) and Notion
  • Startup experience

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Competitive Salary: We provide a salary that reflects your skills and experience, along with opportunities for performance-based bonuses. For this role, we are targeting a range of $120-150K USD annually.

  • Flexible Work Environment: Enjoy the freedom to choose your work hours and the option to work remotely, promoting a healthy work-life balance. We have a small office in SF, but most of our team works remotely across the U.S. and Canada.

  • Health & Wellness Benefits: Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance to support your well-being, along with wellness programs and resources.

  • Professional Development: Annual $1K learning stipend to use toward classes, certifications, conferences, or other meaningful career development.

  • Collaborative Culture: Join a supportive team that values creativity, innovation, and open communication, where your ideas are encouraged and celebrated.

  • Equity Options: As a startup, we offer equity options to ensure that you share in our success as we grow together.

  • Paid Time Off: Unlimited PTO policy with an encouraged three-week annual minimum.

  • Team Events: We regularly host virtual team social activities and happy hours, and travel to meet in-person 1-2 times a year.

Company values

Move Quickly, Together

Speed is our advantage, but alignment is our path to victory. We will go farthest, fastest if we work in unison. Prioritize the mission, establish clear owners and deliverables, and execute with confidence.

Reach for the Sky

We are curious, open-minded, and courageous. We challenge ourselves and each other to ask more questions, push boundaries, and deliver excellence every day.

Run Lean

Construction is a scrappy industry where companies must do more with less. Same here. Operate efficiently, optimize strategically, and always get the most bang for our buck.

Be the Steel

Builds fail when the foundation is faulty. The same is true for us. Exercise good judgment, deliver on your commitments, and know your capacity—every base has its threshold, after all. Most importantly, back your teammates. We’re stronger than reinforced concrete when we support each other.

Build Our Fanbase

Our mission is to grow the size of the pie for everyone in construction. We only achieve that audacious goal if we keep our customers front and center. Work tenaciously to build smarter systems that solve real problems for our customers, positively impact their businesses and lives, and make them loyal fans.

Shoot Straight

We speak directly, candidly, and respectfully. We prioritize transparency, err on over-communicating, and understand that differing opinions and perspectives are part of a healthy company. Ultimately, it’s okay to disagree with—but still commit to—the chosen direction.

At Siteline, we're looking for people with passion, grit, and integrity. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't precisely match the job description. Your skills and passion will stand out—and set you apart—especially if your career has taken some extraordinary twists and turns. We know that diverse perspectives foster the innovation we need to be successful, and we are committed to building a team that encompasses a variety of backgrounds, experiences, and skills. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. We do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status. Join us!

What We Do

Construction is an industry built on change. With each new project, we change skylines, strengthen communities, and transform cities for the better.‍

But the reality isn’t always so simple. Between compliance and change orders, false starts and permit delays, the construction industry has a paperwork problem—especially when it comes to getting paid.‍

Cash flow is the lifeline of any contractor’s business, but billing is painful and slow. With so much manual work involved, a small, honest mistake can hold up millions of dollars in cash flow. And even when things go right, the time and effort it takes to get paid takes away from the work that really matters.

We believe that when you free up payments, you free up people to take on whatever’s next. We started Siteline to give construction teams a financial foundation to build on. Because when people are on the same page about getting paid, they can focus on whatever's next—whether that’s a new idea, a new project, or more time with their family.

We’re reimagining construction finance to help contractors get paid, grow their business, and build a better future for all of us
