The Senior Sourcing Manager will oversee sourcing and procurement strategies for Hourglass Cosmetics, ensuring operational excellence, cost efficiency, and resiliency. Reporting directly to the Director of Sourcing and Procurement, this role will collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Product Development, Quality, and Finance teams to select, qualify, set-up and maintain high-quality vendors of finished products and packaging solutions. The Senior Sourcing Manager will maintain and identify process improvements for pricing, shipping specifications, and planning data.

WHAT YOU DO:

  • Track and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate supplier performance and ensure consistent achievement of quality, cost, delivery and customer service targets.
  • Regularly assess suppliers for their lead time adherence, and work with the Supply Chain team to clearly define date fields, and ensure the measurement is fair and accurate. 
  • Work closely with our Supply Planner and Item Master Manager to keep lead times and MOQs up to date in our ERP 
  • Work with our Supply Chain team to ensure pricing file is up to date 
  • Work with our Product Development team to manage the quotation process 
  • Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with strategic suppliers and cross-functional internal team members to strengthen engagement, collaboration, and supplier accountability.
  • Support global sourcing strategies to enhance supply chain resiliency, including near-shoring, co-locating primary and filling operations, and mitigating geopolitical risk.
  • Oversee the on-boarding of potential new vendors ensuring capabilities align with business needs and compliance requirements, including NDA execution, Vendor Manual adherence, Certificate of Insurance (COI) submission, and Payment Terms agreement.
  • Drive cost savings initiatives by negotiating with suppliers, implementing value engineering practices, and optimizing operational efficiencies, ensuing pricing tiers and timelines align with demand forecasts.
  • Partner with Product Development and Marketing teams to support innovation pipelines and deliver on-time, successful product launches.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Quality teams to resolve issues, secure financial recoupment when needed, and uphold Hourglass’s rigorous quality standards.
  • Monitor market trends, industry advancements, and supply chain risks to proactively identify opportunities and mitigate potential challenges.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for sourcing-related activities, including inventory projection models to align with business goals.
  • Champion sustainable sourcing practices that align with Hourglass’s commitment to animal welfare and environmental responsibility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management within the beauty, cosmetics, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
  • Strong knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and supplier landscapes.
  • Proven negotiation skills and experience managing supplier contracts and partnerships.
  • Experience driving cost savings initiatives and managing budgets.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and other supply chain management tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience working in a global environment and managing international suppliers.
  • Must be able to work from Carson, CA Distribution Center at least 60% of the time.

The expected base salary range for this position is $115,000.00 to $120,000.00. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget. This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan, based on personal performance and company results.
