Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Python applications and services.

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.

• Architect scalable and high-performance solutions using frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI.

• Develop and optimize RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services.

• Work with databases (SQL & NoSQL) such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.

• Implement asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture when necessary.

• Optimize application performance and ensure high availability and scalability.

• Write and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure seamless deployment and monitoring.

• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and recommend improvements.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in software development

• Proficiency in web frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI.

• Understanding threading and multi-process architecture

• Familiarity with event-driven programming

• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind scalable applications.

• Experience with microservices, serverless architectures, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Expertise in working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

• Strong database skills, including experience with ORMs and query optimization.

• Experience with messaging queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, or SQS) is a plus.

• Knowledge in web technologies including JavaScript, CSS and HTML

• 2+ years of architecting, building, deploying and supporting Cloud based solutions.

• Experience in RESTful API design and implementation, and proven track-record of integrating APIs with scalable web applications

• Proficient in using Git, CI/CD tools, and Agile development methodologies.

• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to handle diverse situations, multiple initiatives and rapid pace delivery.

• Demonstrated skills in communication, analysis and problem solving.

• Team oriented mindset with a passion to learn, coach and collaborate with other team members.

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree / industry experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experienced, persuasive and effective presenter, both written and verbal

• MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree

• Contributions to Open source and/or development community

• Experience in writing clean code in one or more languages such as Java, .NET, Go, Node.js or similar would be a definite plus
