Sr Software Engineer

What's the role?
Manage product development from concept to launch for highly automated driving for in-vehicle perception applications (embedded)

• Develop project scopes, product requirements, and detailed implementation roadmaps, while collaborating with internal stakeholders and customers
• .Experience in delivering a complex consumer application to the markets using agile methods
• .Plan, track and coordinate product development, deployment and delivery of multiple engineering teams using best practice agile ways of working (Scrum, Kanban)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to express the requirements and user stories in a compact and precise manner
• .Oversee, support and ensure implementation of functional safety standards, coding guidelines, and proper test management (unit/functional/integration tests)
• .Assess tests and benchmark test results against KPIs and define KPI coverage
• Work with others teams like DevOps or Simulation on supporting tooling and infrastructure as well as on meaningful and exhaustive measurements (CI/CD)
• Identify, track and mitigate risks and potential setbacks, and escalate to management when necessary
• Act customer centric and assess functional and non-functional requirements for current and future products from customers and market intelligence
• Support customer programs as subject matter expert and bridge between sales, product, and professional services

Who are you?

• Bachelor or master's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent
• 5+ years of software development experience,
• Excellent applied skills in Java and/or Scala programming, in combination with backend architectures, messaging technologies and related frameworks
• Cloud Experience (AWS)
• Strong and applied experience in REST based web service technologies, JSON and XML, SOA and micro services architectures
• Strong and applied DBMS & SQL skills .
• Strong experience CI/CD tools, with a preference on Jenkins
• Good knowledge of using issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA), code collaboration tools (e.g., Git/GitLab) and team collaboration tools (e.g., Confluence/Wiki).
• Good knowledge of Linux/Unix - familiar with shell scripting
• Able to translate business and architectural features into quality, consistent software design
• Solid knowledge of programming practices, strive to write great code that is reusable, flexible, and reliable.
• Strong quality mindset is considered a must: unit testing, performance testing, writing testable code
• Self-motivated, well-organized, details-oriented and a strong team player with an agile mindset.
