What Makes You a Great Fit:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to join our AI Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and scaling innovative solutions that enhance our user acquisition, engagement, and retention efforts. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful features and contribute to the success of Velocity Global's our goals. We're looking for a candidate who creates polished UI's. This role is ideal for someone who is interested in working with a group whose work transitions between the frontend and backend semifrequently. Our work is prospect, customer and internal facing, meaning we collaborate with other teams to bring AI capabilities and features into their areas of ownership.
You will be based in Denver, Colorado, and in-office collaboration is required for at least one day per week.
How You'll Make an Impact:
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to build and deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.
- Build, optimize, and maintain applications and services using React JS, TypeScript, Postgres, and AWS in a serverless environment.
- Improve processes to improve customer acquisition, retention, and engagement.
- Lead by example in writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of learning and improvement.
- Contribute to technical discussions, design reviews, and code reviews to maintain high engineering standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments.
- Stay current with latest technologies and best practices to enhance our technology stack.
Let's Connect If You:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience..
- 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on Frontend capabilities with a proven ability to contribute to the backend as well
- Experience with React, TypeScript, CSS and AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, S3, etc.).
- Expertise in CSS and HTML to implement pixel-perfect UIs that match designs, including clean, modern, smooth animations and transitions.
- Experience with software design patterns & experience working within a frontend design system, and deep understanding of testing frontend components (cypress, storybook)
- A lean mindset - Focus on delivering customer value by minimizing waste, optimizing workflows, fostering continuous improvement, and prioritizing in an iterative manner.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a team-oriented mindset.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in a serverless microservices environment (AWS Lambda)
- Deep understanding of interactive animation tools and capabilities especially when working within a React environment (Snapsvg, parallax, Threejs, etc)
- Previous experience in marketing tech experience, e.g. PHP (Drupal/Wordpress)
- Experience building UI for AI enabled features (Chatbot, Concierge, Search, reporting etc)

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The base pay depends upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
Annualized Pay Range
$160,000—$200,000 USD
