Position Description:
Sr. Software Development Engineer in Test for Medtronic, Inc., Minneapolis, MN. Design and build the frameworks to test and deploy complex software systems. Develop technologies across iOS and Android, paired with continuous build and test with various system tools. Design, implement, and optimize automation tools to verify the mobile and server product suite. Coordinate with software and test groups to ensure the system works properly from end-to-end, both pre- and post-release. Utilize automation tools including Appium. Utilize design & development of the automation frameworks including Junit, Hybrid or Data Driven. Code using Java, Python or Swift to develop automation frameworks that works with mobile applications & API architecture. Utilize Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) and Build Integration tools including Jenkins or Bamboo. Create/implement test scripts for performing performance testing using JMeter. Design and develop functional testing of end-to-end flows which involves mobile apps and Application programming interface (API) services. Work on Internet of Things platform to develop and drive end-to-end validation using skills including SQL/MySQL, REST, and SOAP UI.
Multiple Positions Available. Position is open to telecommuting from anywhere in the United States.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors’ Degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or related engineering or technical field and five (5) years’ progressive experience as a software engineer in test or related occupation; OR Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Science or related engineering or technical field and two (2) years’ progressive experience as a software engineer in test or related occupation. Must possess at least 2 years of experience in each of the following: Appium, Junit, Hybrid, and Data Driven; Developing automation frameworks that works with mobile applications & API architecture using Java, Python or Swift; Jenkins or Bamboo; Creating and implementing test scripts for performing performance testing using Jmeter; Functional testing of end-to-end flows involving mobile and API services; and End-to-end validation using SQL/MySQL, REST, and SOAP UI.
Salary: $155,000 to $180,000 per year
