Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to lead the design, implementation, and operational support of our hybrid environments across on-premises, private cloud, and public cloud platforms. This role is vital in establishing and executing our SRE strategy to ensure our environments are scalable, reliable, and secure. The ideal candidate will merge technical skills with leadership to guide our team in achieving these objectives.
Responsibilities

Lead the implementation of SRE best practices, including error budgeting and service level objectives.

Manage applications on Windows/Linux servers, and across various cloud platforms; perform installations, configurations, and maintenance.

Create thorough documentation for products, procedures, and support frameworks.

Ensure system health and resolve inefficiencies or service availability gaps.

Architect and conduct Disaster Recovery testing and capacity planning.

Develop automation tools to enhance system efficiency and scalability.

Collaborate with business partners and development teams, providing leadership on project status and tasks.

Participate in an on-call rotation and support weekend changes for project deliverables.

Analyze incidents to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align solutions with operational standards and initiate strategic contributions to infrastructure and processes.
Your Profile
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
-
5-10+ years in SRE roles, managing systems on Windows, Unix/Linux, and cloud environments like AWS and Azure.

Proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages such as Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, and Python.

Strong knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and middleware (Apache, WebSphere).

Experience with observability tools like Datadog, Splunk, and CloudWatch.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Familiarity with microservices architecture, modern design patterns, and change management processes.
