The Risk Assessment Services team in Enterprise Services Core Risk provides risk analysis for all Enterprise Services lines of business including: Cyber, Ventures, Tech, Emerging Payments, Brand, Enterprise Supplier Management, Enterprise Products & Experience (EPX), Software, External Affairs, eData, and Global Workplace Solutions. Our results are highly visible to senior ES management including the Division President as well as internal and external senior stakeholders including Business Chief Risk Officers across the company and regulators. We support the Business Unit Risk Control and Self Assessment by partnering closely with Risk Guides and ES lines of business on completion. We also own the aggregation and delivery of those results into ES Division Risks for signoff by the Enterprise Services Division President. These Division risk results influence control investment decisions, regulatory posture, and capital planning at the most senior levels of the company and are critical to unlocking strategic value for Capital One.
Responsibilities:

  • Analyze process and business unit risk data as well as internal data (e.g. historical opex, scenario data) and industry data (external cyber analysis reports, external loss event data) for opportunities to improve consistency and quality in ES risk reporting and setting risk destinations
  • Partner with risk managers across all ES verticals to identify, document, and monitor risks via Risk Assessments (such as Risk and Control Self Assessments (RCSA), Product Risk Assessments (PRA), and Scenario Analysis)
  • Produce key analysis and reporting to support results delivery and decision making (e.g. Tech Risk Report)
  • Support preparation for executive level communications and presentations
  • Update risk and assessment systems of record with results from quarterly assessments


Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Certification
  • At least 1 year of experience in audit, risk management, or program management
  • At least 1 year of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal stakeholders


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in Tech or Cyber Risk Management
  • 2+ years of experience in Audit, Risk Management Business Process Management, or Project Management
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people across multiple levels
  • Certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CISSP, Scrum Master, or BPM

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $109,000 - $124,400 for Sr. Assoc, Cyber Risk & Analysis
Richmond, VA: $99,100 - $113,100 for Sr. Assoc, Cyber Risk & Analysis
New York, NY: $118,900 - $135,700 for Sr. Assoc, Cyber Risk & Analysis
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
