Role Overview:

As a key player on the McAfee retention team, the Retention Marketing Manager will lead a dynamic team focused on driving the success of upsell and cross-sell strategies and campaigns. Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing, this role will involve collaborating closely to identify new opportunities for enhancing customer protection and continuously optimizing the sales funnel. The Manager will lead a team of marketing professionals and work with cross-functional partners to execute day-to-day activities, including testing, analytics, creative development, and campaign launches. With a focus on key customer segments, this position plays a vital role in advancing strategic initiatives aimed at improving the customer experience through personalized engagement—one of the company’s top growth drivers.
This is a Hybrid position located in either San Jose, CA or Frisco, TX. You will be required to be onsite on an as-needed basis, typically 1 to 6 times a month. We are only considering candidates within a commutable distance to one of the two locations and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.

  • As a leader of a high performing team, you will drive the company’s upsell and cross-sell strategy, collaborating with leadership and internal teams to deliver high-impact customer experiences. You’ll lead strategic initiatives, mentor team members, and optimize the customer journey to drive growth.

  • Lead and champion the upsell & cross-sell strategy, ensuring company-wide adoption through effective communication with leadership and internal teams.

  • Manage and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Own strategic initiatives, including defining action plans, setting success metrics, and managing project timelines to drive measurable business impact.

  • Guide cross-functional collaboration, inspiring partners to conceptualize and deliver seamless, high-impact customer experiences.

  • Shape the customer journey, optimizing engagement and monetization opportunities through creative and data-driven strategies.

  • Leverage insights and analytics to identify growth opportunities, influence product roadmaps, and drive revenue expansion.

  • Ensure execution excellence, proactively removing roadblocks, managing priorities, and escalating challenges as needed.

About You:

  • You have at least 10+ years of professional experience.

  • Strategic thinking and strong leadership are essential to this role and achieving sustained success.

  • You have consistently led initiatives that have enhanced the customer experience, particularly through optimizing landing pages and personalizing customer journeys.

  • You have a proven track record of successfully driving multiple initiatives simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced, and innovative environment.

  • You have strong interpersonal communication skills to develop key relationships and influence teams to accomplish objectives.

  • You have a passion for thinking strategically and the ability to execute tactically.

  • You have a comprehensive understanding of the a/b testing process and have experience with data-driven experimentation.

  • You have experience with analyzing, interpreting, and leveraging quantitative and qualitative data to glean customer insights and make business decisions.

  • You have knowledge of data tools such as Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Tableau, and Power BI.
