Sr Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description SummaryResponsible for strategizing, planning and coordinating product verification, reliability and automation for Portrait patient monitoring device. Carrying out all the activities in the test life cycle such as designing, developing, automating, executing and maintaining test cases. The individual should be knowledgeable in verifying safety of medical devices. Verification lead will represent the team and report out the progress and status of the team to management. Works independently and contributes to the immediate team and to other teams across business. Contributes to product quality and reliability.

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:
•Understand and elicit requirements to the team by working with cross-functional and engineering team
• Define test strategy for functional and non-functional requirements

• Develop and review test cases and test scripts products (Systems and sub-systems)

• Should have strong programming / scripting knowledge
• Should have good knowledge on integrating, testing and debugging

• Strong focus on Quality and reliability

• Involved in various activities of deployment process CI/CD

• Defect reviews to discern and address root causes.

• Coordination with requirement/architecture and Root Cause Analysis
• Driven performance and architecture teams to enhance the Failure Mode Effective Analysis
• Ability to define test environment for Test execution
• Execute automated/manual tests.
• Review, Triage, Report and/or fix issues arising out of nightly build
• Participate in technical reviews and contributing to tech discussions
• Communicate effectively in a cross-functional, multi-cultural, global environment
• Report team status, plan and progress to management
• Able to perform causal analysis for control metrics going out of range and define corrective actions

• Own and deliver medium-sized quality engineering tasks while mentoring and helping team members
• Make technology choices at individual level and analyze impact
• Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques
• Integrate project testing with continuous-integration process
• Work with fellow team members to diagnose bugs and formulate solutions
• Provide expertise in the quality engineering, test planning and testing methodology for a software project
• Develop and executes maintainable automation tests for acceptance, functional, and regression test cases

Education Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum years of experience 5 to 8 years

Desired Characteristics and Technical Expertise:
• Has extensive experience in test automation and verification activities

• Good documentation practices
• Demonstrates experience and ability to write code /scripts for the purposes of testing solution code

• Very good knowledge of software testing methodologies including manual and automated testing
• Excellent Conflict management and problem-solving skills
• Strong influential and communication skills
