SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior QA Analyst will play a key role in the testing and quality assurance of our software products. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in both manual and/or automated testing, an eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other QA analysts, to identify issues early in the development cycle and ensure our product releases meet high standards of quality to ensure successful functionality and integration of all customer IT systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Lead and execute end-to-end testing for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes across multiple platforms.
  • Verify that end-user experience meets expectations during testing as well as post-implementation.
  • Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for testing.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and developers to identify, log, track, and resolve software defects.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups as needed to communicate testing progress and status.
  • Lead and mentor junior QA team members, providing guidance on testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Ensure test coverage by working closely with product and engineering teams to understand project requirements to minimize testing risks to ensure requirements are testable.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design reviews, and code reviews.
  • Analyze and identify root causes of defects and provide actionable feedback to developers.
  • Ensure compliance with established QA processes, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Continuously improve testing strategies, methodologies, and tools to enhance product quality and team efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain test scripts for regression testing pipelines.
  • Prepare and deliver test reports, including status updates, test metrics, and release readiness.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Primarily working indoors, office environment.
  • May sit for several hours at a time.
  • Prolonged exposure to computer screens.
  • Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong background in both manual an/or automated testing.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Strong understanding of Agile processes & Scrum environments.
  • Experience with Extract Transform and Load (ETL) functionality.
  • Experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, X-Ray) and issue-tracking systems (e.g., Jira).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • ISTQB or other relevant QA certification.
  • Experience with testing tools (e.g., Postman, Soap UI).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, MS Azure) and microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of security testing principles and best practices.
