Reporting to the Director, Global Corporate Responsibility and Diversity, the Global Giving and Community Impacts Lead provides oversight, internal and external support and project coordination for activities related to community engagement, Corporate Giving, and the IDEXX Foundation. Responsibilities entail collaboration across the organization including with colleagues from Legal, Finance, Human Resources, Investor Relations, Operations and facilities among other departments as well as with external stakeholders. This role is responsible for coordinating and supporting giving across all IDEXX global locations.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Act as the first point of contact for external organizations seeking funding or in kind support from IDEXX.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employees seeking information on giving and/ or volunteering activities.
  • Track investments and volunteering efforts from IDEXX global locations for external reporting purposes.
  • Process payments to Corporate Responsibility and DEI partners.
  • Coordinate the process for grant requests and approvals as well as DAF controls process for IDEXX Foundation grants.
  • Ensure Corporate Giving and Community Engagement activities are inclusive, especially for employees in non-office functions (Field based, Manufacturing, Reference Laboratories, Distribution Centers, etc.) and across all global locations.
  • Coordinate project plans and track progress in achieving Global Giving goals. 
  • Track trends and share best practices in Corporate Giving to inform giving strategies.
  • Support the Corporate Responsibility Report and other internal and external communications materials with insights on IDEXX giving impacts.
  • Manage giving projects/programs. Manage entire project lifecycle from sizing and scoping project to implementation, closure and handoff to support, and ensuring ongoing project/program success and customer satisfaction. Help the business modify the project/program when necessary. May be responsible for the strategic implementation of the project/program working with senior business leaders to ensure the vision supports business needs.
  • Manage internal giving and community engagement new and on-going programs. Manage and administer programs including identifying and planning workflow process improvements; preparing cost and other analysis; ensuring adequate resource allocation; and budget management.
  • Build detailed, proactive project plans, including necessary deliverables and schedules. Ensure project plans meet strategic objectives of the business. Ensure project plan compliance and that documentation meets regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with various business areas to staff projects based on project requirements. Ensure project teams have necessary skills and experience to complete projects successfully.
  • Manage project/program stakeholders, including core team, steering committees, vendors and others as applicable. Coordinate activities and ensure effective communication within project team. Lead meetings and participant communications to drive decisions and action items. Provide for effective escalation and resolution of issues and concerns.
  • Manage giving project/program budgets, ensuring expenses stay within guidelines. Justify and obtain approvals for any changes to budgets.
  • Provide regular, Global Giving and Community Engagement reports and status updates to management, stakeholders and others. Highlight successes, concerns, milestones, resolved issues and other important information. Document process standards as required.

What You Need To Succeed:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Project Management or other relevant certifications
  • Experience in Global Giving or Corporate Giving preferred but not required
  • General understanding of IDEXX Corporate Responsibility and DEI priorities
  • Understanding of the global Corporate Responsibility and DEI landscape, including emerging issues, standards and best practices relevant to IDEXX
  • Experience collecting ESG data and building reports
  • Experience managing multiple projects, schedules, events and other administrative duties at one time
  • Highly collaborative and effective in a dynamic work environment
  • Comfortable working in global, multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary environments
  • Comfortable with external communications and discussions with community partners and ability to advocate for IDEXX's best interest
  • Strong project/program management skills with knowledge in use of portfolio and project management tools
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, with ability to establish and maintain high level of customer trust and confidence
  • General business understanding, including event or meeting planning activities
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills; ability to present and explain information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others and gains understanding
  • Demonstrated ability to lead without authority
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Expertise in setting and managing customer expectations
  • Ability to perform root-cause analysis and problem resolution preferred
