About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer II to play a foundational role in defining the next chapter of Life360’s design evolution. This is an opportunity to shape a world-class design system that scales across our ecosystem, bringing our brand to life through exceptional visual storytelling, motion, and interaction design. Your work will bridge UX and UI, ensuring that every touchpoint feels intuitive, cohesive, and delightful. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-impact environment, has a strong vision for scalable design excellence, and wants to push the boundaries of great UI in a product with real-world impact. The US-based salary range for this position is $148,000-$217,500. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary- therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.

What You'll Do

  • Drive the evolution of Life360’s visual design language, ensuring an exceptional, cohesive, and scalable experience across all product surfaces.
  • Lead and contribute to our design system, creating reusable, systematic components that improve efficiency and maintain visual consistency.
  • Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Researchers to define problems, prototype solutions, and launch high-impact design initiatives.
  • Set a high bar for design craft, guiding projects from concept to execution with a deep focus on visual polish, layout, typography, and motion.
  • Apply systematic thinking to design challenges, ensuring a scalable and unified approach to product and brand aesthetics.
  • Influence design strategy and execution, advocating for high-quality design standards that align with business goals and user needs.
  • Collaborate across teams to maintain alignment on design priorities, providing mentorship and feedback to elevate the broader design practice.
  • Stay ahead of emerging trends in visual and motion design, proactively incorporating new techniques and technologies into our workflows.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field 
  • 6+ years of experience in visual, interaction, and/or motion design for native mobile applications (iOS & Android).
  • A portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual design skills, with a strong command of layout, typography, color, and interaction patterns.
  • Deep experience with design systems, including building and scaling visual and motion guidelines for cross-functional teams.
  • Strong systems-thinking mindset, able to design for scalability while maintaining a high level of craft.
  • Fluency in industry-standard tools like Figma, After Effects, motion and prototyping tools to bring concepts to life.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally, aligning design decisions with product and business objectives.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, able to advocate for design excellence across all levels of the organization.
  • A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, iterative environment, balancing high-quality execution with agility.
