Tenstorrent is seeking a highly skilled and experienced RTL Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving architectural and micro-architectural improvements to our AI IP, identifying performance bottlenecks, and proposing innovative solutions to optimize our designs.
This role is hybrid, based out of Toronto, ON; Austin, TX; Santa Clara, CA or can be fully remote. We are hiring for all levels.
Responsibilities:
- Implement parameterized RTL designs using micro-architecture specs
- Conduct experiments with RTL and evaluate synthesis, timing, and power results.
- Enhance RTL design environment, tools, and infrastructure.
- Write, analyze and optimize low-level kernels for AI workloads using Tensix ISA features
- Work with architects and other designers to improve the PPA of designs
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in EE/ECE/CE/CS or related field required; MS or PhD highly desired
- Knowledge of micro-processor architecture
- Strong background in RTL design of power and area-efficient designs
- Knowledge of logic design principles along with timing and power implications
- Experience with python and C/C++ programming
- Experience with writing and debugging low-level firmware and kernels
- Proficiency in RTL design and converging high-performance designs for performance, power, area, and frequency
Highly Desired:
- Understanding or prior experience with floating-point arithmetic and formats
- Expertise in low-power micro-architecture techniques
- Familiarity with physical design issues in RTL design and micro-architecture specification
- Experience with arithmetic circuit design and optimization
Compensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
