Essential RESPONSIBILITIES and ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Leverage mortgage, secondary market industry knowledge to effectively collaborate with Line of Business management, vendors, and team in the development of systems, processes, operating procedures, business improvements, and new product development.

2. Take full ownership of one or more of products and act as the representative/Subject Matter Expert for inquiries and participation in cross-functional teams/projects.

3. Utilize critical thinking, problem solving, and data management skills to design/develop/enhance any systems/processes necessary to support the business.

4. Collaboratively design, develop, and prepare internal/external reporting to monitor the performance of Lines of Business.

5. Responsible for reviewing, operationalizing, and adhering to legal agreements.

6. Design testing strategies and plans and perform user acceptance test exercises to ensure results are acceptable and meet requirements.

7. Using tools such as Excel, Access, SQL Server, and others, directly query, assess, and analyze data to ensure requirements are being met.

8. Lead the remediation of production issues/incidents

9. Responsible for continuing to develop knowledge of the primary and secondary mortgage market (including mortgage insurance), as well as staying abreast of current events that may impact those markets via internal and external news sources.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Knowledge & Skills:

1. Robust understanding of correspondent lending, Secondary Market including Servicing.

2. Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Access, Excel, Power BI or R, and PowerPoint skills-advanced proficiency in formulas and macros and presentation design.

3. Strong experience working between multiple projects simultaneously, with varied degrees of complexity and duration.

4. Customer service orientation and sense of urgency to maintain expected service levels.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology required or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-8 years’ correspondent lending/secondary market experience required.

2. Attendance/Punctuality – Is consistently at work and on time; Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent.

3. Hybrid work schedule. 2 days in office and 3 days working remotely for those in the NC area. Otherwise, this role can sit remotely from anywhere in the US.
