Job Description
Summary:
Manages and maintains smooth operation of a variety of networks, firewall and cloud administration. Plans, evaluates, designs, and coordinates installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication network (VOIP). The position's responsibilities require independent analyses, communication, problem solving and management of network administration staff.
Responsibilities:
- Analyzes, isolates, and resolves LAN/WAN issues using troubleshooting techniques and diagnostic test equipment/software.
- Develop documentation to provide end users and staff with information necessary for mission/system planning. Conducts training and/or presents (e.g. PowerPoint) information as needed.
- Plan for and installs original or new releases of existing software and software IOS for network management purposes.
- Assist in the development of empirical measurements (network) to evaluate the adequacy of existing systems processes. Researches statistical or case management data and observes and documents processes.
- Manage and administer Cisco switches and routers. Maintains and updates Cisco IOS software and Catalyst configurations in compliance with federal standards.
- Manage and administer Cisco Firepower Threat Defense Firewall by managing and updating security updates, configuration changes and responding to and mitigating security vulnerabilities, threats and attacks.
- Coordinate with vendors and vendor support as needed to gain troubleshooting assistance with software and hardware as needed.
- Maintain the Cisco Unified Communications Manager database for the CDP Voice-over-IP (VoIP) telephone system.
- Add and remove features such as long distance, call waiting, call forwarding, and conferencing.
- Manage various call groups within Cisco Unified Communications Manager such as Call Pickup Groups (CPG) and Intercom Groups (IC).
- Manage and assign telephone numbers to users and is responsible for installation and routing of telephone numbers.
- Manage and assign voicemail accounts to users.
- Manage records in Cisco Emergency Responder database.
- Provide data and telecommunications infrastructure support, including cabling and cable plants.
- Install network, telecommunication, fiber optics, and wireless network components.
- Manage, supervise and train other Network Administrator staff.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree and 4 years' work experience or equivalent experience.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high quality/error free deliverables
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Highly self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $77814 - $132283
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
