Your Impact
The primary purpose of this role is to lead the engineering team in the design, development, configuration, testing, and on-going improvements required to deliver state-of-the-art experiences. This includes providing oversight of the implementation and maintenance of business and enterprise software solutions to ensure successful deployment of released applications. This role is also responsible for providing insights and recommendations to inform the roadmap and overall health and care of the larger portfolio.

Innovate in Charlotte
This position is based at our on-site Tech Hub in Charlotte, North Carolina. Lowe's Tech Hub is an ultramodern work environment, complete with cutting-edge technology, collaborative workspaces, an on-site barista and Zen Garden, and other perks to enhance your work experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Technical Leadership
○ Lead and mentor a team of engineers working on Python, Spring Boot, Mongo DB , Kafka, Postgre
○ and React UI technologies.
○ Oversee the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML-based anomaly detection systems.
○ Ensure the implementation of best practices in software engineering, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration.
• Project Management
○ Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure successful project completion.
○ Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align project goals with business objectives.
○ Track and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks as needed.
• AI/ML Integration
○ Develop and implement AI/ML models for anomaly detection in software systems.
○ Collaborate with data scientists to refine models and improve accuracy.
○ Integrate AI/ML solutions into existing software engineering workflows to enhance reliability and auto triage capabilities.
• System Reliability
○ Design and implement strategies to improve the reliability and performance of software systems.
○ Monitor system health and performance, identifying and addressing issues proactively.
○ Develop automated triage processes to quickly resolve incidents and minimize downtime.
• Stakeholder Communication
○ Communicate technical concepts and project status to non-technical stakeholders.
○ Gather requirements and feedback from stakeholders to inform project direction.
○ Foster strong relationships with internal and external partners.
• Innovation and Improvement
○ Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
○ Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team productivity and software quality.
○ Encourage a culture of innovation and experimentation within the team.
• Compliance and Security
○ Ensure all software solutions comply with relevant security standards and regulations.
○ Implement security best practices in the development and deployment processes.
○ Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems (CIS), or related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree)• 8 years of IT experience in software engineering or related field• 8 years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of software development life cycles (SDLC)• 3 years of experience leading project or technical teams with or without formal direct report responsibility; this includes experience providing technical direction, thought leadership, and coaching and mentoring team members
Preferred Skills/Experience • 5 years of experience in software development in an agile environment and working with third-party vendors/software solution providers• 5 years of experience working in an IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework• 3 years of experience in IT management in the retail industry• 3 years of experience in an IT role requiring interaction with senior leadership• Master's degree in computer science, CIS, or related field
