The Team:
Mattel’s Global Technology Organization (GTO) is modernizing and transforming its IT platforms, processes and skills. We are a catalyst to change Mattel into an IP-driven, high-performing toy company by being a business-focused technology partner. Mattel’s GTO is seeking a Senior Manager Organizational Change Management to lead the organizational change management function for large, global programs with an 9,000+ user base across North America, APAC, EMEA, and LATAM.
Job Description
The Opportunity:
The successful candidate will have the ability to deeply understand the strategic business need and impact for larger programs and be able to create a highly-effective engagement, business readiness, and adoption plan to ensure the expected business case is achieved. This includes working successfully across complex projects, including multiple business units, regions and languages.
Stakeholder engagement:
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, analyze needs and synthesizing findings, manage stakeholder expectations and engagement
- Change Impact Assessments: Identify biggest changes for end user groups to be used as an input to other OCM deliverables
- Develop executable readiness plans so the business
- Resistance Management: Identification of pockets of resistance and strategies to manage and mitigate
- Map current roles and processes, collaborate with delivery team to shape new roles and processes, and engage stakeholders to communicate how future roles and processes will be impacted
- Effectively engage senior leaders as sponsors of change
- Establish agents of change networks and identify super users to leverage adoption across the organization
- Manage risk in a quantitative, data driven way
Communication:
- Create relationships to drive two-way communication between GTO and business partners
- Tailor change management approaches and communications for each program globally—understand and adapt to regional segmentation and language needs
- Work with GTO executive leadership and OCM Director to ensure that global messaging of GTO initiatives is appropriately communicated and marketed to the Mattel organization
Training:
- Devise, design and create curriculum content for training needs which are typically custom content for a global business audience
- Schedule, coordinate and oversee training provided by internal and external partners
- Report metrics on training and adoption to effectively measure effectiveness of training campaigns and rollouts.
- Maintain and update training content library via all learning channels, including, but not limited to dedicated SharePoint sites, LMS, self-paced learning portals, video, podcasts, events
Program Leadership:
- Project management and leadership of OCM activities
- Partner with OCM Director and program leadership to confirm OCM resourcing needs
- Partner with business leadership, key leaders, and team members in the GTO provide the thought leadership and change management guidance to enable organizational readiness and execution toward sustained transformational change
- Identify change risks and develop mitigation strategies that lead to successful adoption and positive ROI
- Drive and support multiple culturally appropriate events with global team
Adhere to OCM Center of Excellence Methodology:
- Adhere to and provide input to the OCM Center of Excellence methodology
- Apply lessons learned to continuously improve GTO’s approach to OCM
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
• BA/BS required
• 8+ years of experience leading organizational change management teams on large scale IT system implementations and complex projects
• Experience with executing OCM for large programs across multiple business units and locations
• Strong experience using change management tools and methodologies
• Manage a high degree of change in a fast paced, complex, and demanding environment
• Ability to establish and maintain credibility, and work effectively with all levels of the enterprise
• Demonstrated project management skills that meet projected deadline, budget, and results
• Proficiency with MS Office tools
• Background in managing multiple concurrent projects
• Experience building and managing teams
• Strong business acumen with experience managing various stakeholder groups (e.g. global/regional stakeholders, executive stakeholders, vendors, etc.)
• Global experience preferred
• Expertise in using digital communications channels
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to work occasional extended hours and weekends, travel, as needed
The annual base salary range for this position is between $165,000 and $200,000
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
