The Opportunity
The Senior Manager, Livestreams and Social will oversee a new, groundbreaking 24/7 livestream calendar, working alongside the Director, Livestreams and Social to begin with TikTok and grow to other social and digital platforms as capabilities are realized. The Senior Manager, Livestreams and Social will partner closely with social strategy team to meet and understand changing needs of the platforms, adjusting how our team produces and what kind content we generate as we learn what is resonating with our customer. The Senior Manager will oversee a team of Livestream and
Media Producers, developing their skillsets and working to build livestream capabilities to extend to more platforms as they emerge. As well, this Senior Manager develop this team into a team of agile, multiplatform producers who understand the distinctions and needs of each of our three brands: QVC, HSN, and streaming. Under the Senior Manager, this team should thrive in a culture of innovation, change management, idea sharing and constant improvement.
The Senior Manager, Livestream and Social will work with our cross functional partners (streaming, social, digital) to share capabilities, efficiencies and capacity, clearly communicating our priorities and making sure the content we create is meeting this KPI’s of our partner teams.
Your Impact
Livestreams: By leading the Livestream and Media Producers, build to a calendar of 24/7 livestreams, beginning on Tik Tok and growing to more as our capabilities and understand of success metrics grow. Challenge and manage this team of producers to think differently and create efficiencies in how they produce. Oversee workflow and KPI’s of our partner teams to continuously adapt along with the social media landscape.
Leadership: Develop a team that thrives on change and constant improvement by consistent coaching, feedback and career development. Build bold, strong leaders and a culture of idea sharing and innovation.
Internal and External Cross Functional Partnership: Work with key stakeholders, mainly Social and Digital, to keep continuous pulse on what kind livestream and social content is needed, how the content is meeting KPI’s, and what products are resonating. As well, partner with the other three Omnichannel Content teams (Factory, Services, and Content/Creative) to ensure we are advocating for each other, sharing resources, and working as one cohesive unit.
What You Bring
- 8+ years creative leadership experience with passion for new ways of working
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Communications, Journalism, Film, Media or related fields preferred
- Must have extensive, broad knowledge of television/social/digital production, including creative, development, and strategy
- Understanding of changing social media landscape
- Proven experience leading large diverse teams with a focus on culture, engagement and optimizing team productivity
- Proven experience with meaningful cross-functional partnership
- Dynamic, creative personality, effectively engaging and influencing the organization
- Ability to quickly analyze data/situations and draw relevant conclusions to have positive effects on business in a complex environment; ability to make decisions to achieve desired results
- Budgeting experience and working knowledge of basic accounting
