In this role typical day might include performing the following:

  • The Senior Manager of Contracting at the Global Procurement Capability Centre in Bengaluru will supervise the establishment and leadership of a new team. This team will be integral to the Capability Centre's mission to fulfill Global Procurement duties at Regeneron. The incumbent will lead a group of dedicated professionals focused on providing contracting expertise to support global procurement initiatives.

  • The role will enable consistency, scalability and efficiency for repeatable, location agnostic contracting and enable capability development across Global Procurement. In addition, working with colleagues globally the role will drive and implement innovation and standard methodology in ways of working.

  • This position represents a pivotal leadership role, reporting directly to the Director of the Global Procurement Capability Center, and serving as an integral part of the center's leadership team.

  • Accountable for leadership of a team of contract managers, delivering contract activities in support of Global Procurement

  • Collaborating with partners to define the scope of contracts, negotiate, and finalize agreements for a wide array of goods and services is essential for Regeneron. Implementing processes and establishing efficient workflows are key to ensuring the successful delivery of contracts across various categories.

  • Ability to supervise all aspects of sourcing process from initial business requirements to final contact execution

  • Development of standard methodologies and processes for contracting within Global Procurement

  • Demonstrates knowledge of efficient global procurement organizations and processes within the biopharmaceutical industry to support the growth and evolution of the Global Procurement organization and leverages this knowledge to drive improvements within Regeneron, aligned with corporate priorities.

  • Leads contracting activities to ensure compliance with appropriate company policies, GxPs and other applicable regulations, as applicable

  • Provides leadership in setting group goals/objectives for the team

  • Leads team of professional level employees responsible for performing contract management tasks

  • Able to prioritize and lead workload across teams

  • Provides mentor and mentorship on job performance and career development to direct reports and provides leadership example for the organization.

  • Mentors proficiency on procurement technical skills among global procurement team.

This job might be for you if you:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study plus 10 years relevant, dynamic experience in procurement, preferably including 6 years in Pharma/BioPharma.

  • Experience optimally leading teams, processes, and suppliers across a breadth of categories

  • Builds influential relationships with customers and suppliers to get results for Regeneron.

  • Provide guide insight and knowledge regarding effective and compliant contracts to protect Regeneron and enable pipeline delivery

  • Individual who is experienced operating with integrity, focus, and transparency in an environment of ambiguity to lead change and improvement.

  • Experience leading associate level professionals in a multi-national firm including writing performance reviews, setting annual objectives, mentor, and developing direct reports.

  • Solid understanding with sourcing contracting tools, ERP’s, and eRFx systems preferred. (Oracle, Zycus, GEP, Ariba, Other)

  • Ability to demonstrate standard business applications for communicating, presenting and analyzing (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
