Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Sr. Manager of Continuous Improvement plays a critical role in overseeing the development and execution of all continuous improvement programs and initiatives in the Dx network as well as across CDx. The position will play a central role in initiating, planning, driving execution and presenting progress, risks, and results to the operations leadership teams and key stakeholders

The Sr. Manager of Continuous Improvement will also need to foster and develop effective relationships with other BU segments and functions, such as Six Sigma, SDx, Engineering, and IT as well as other key stakeholders to identify, define, prioritize and execute initiatives.

They will also lead a team of Continuous Improvement Engineers and/or Specialists in Continuous improvement activities. Position must reside in close proximity to a Pharma distribution center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities across the Dx network. Typical improvement activity results in improved productivity, safety, cost control, and quality
  • Establishes collaborative partnerships with other members of the CDx and Dx leadership team to better understand their needs and future requirements, ranging from standardization of processes, leveraging best practices, to optimization of DC flow. Collaboration will also be imperative across the Engineering and Six Sigma teams.
  • Influence all levels of management across the organization to ensure that continuous improvement activities receive the necessary support and are resourced adequately to ensure the proper and timely implementation of solutions
  • Ability to engage a cross-functional team towards a desired outcome
  • Superior communication skills to effectively engage and promote collaboration
  • Lead, coach, and develop other Continuous Improvement team members. Ensures team members receive proper training and guidance to help achieve business goals and objectives
  • Responsible for establishing and measuring robust KPI’s tied to overall organizational operations improvement goals and ensuring standardization across the network
  • Ensure that continuous improvement principles are adopted and incorporated into the organization’s strategic plan and goals

Position Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Continuous Improvement leadership position associated with a robust understanding of supply chain, and/or operations within distribution logistics.
  • Solid presentation skills, able to show opportunities while inspiring teams
  • Proven problem-solving skills, detailed oriented and good decision-making skills
  • Works with limited direction
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt and to be flexible in a fast-paced work environment
  • Industrial Engineering or Lean Six Sigma experience is an asset
  • Analytical ability to gather and interpret data
  • Must be willing to work various hours to manage across the 24-hour operation within the distribution center
  • Able to travel approximately 25% of the time

Education

Bachelor’s degree required

PMP certification is a plus

Mon-Fri 8am-5pm with flexibility

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$102,000 - $170,000
