The Role

Our manufacturing logistics and supply team makes sure that customers and patients have the medicines they need, when they need them. You'll help bring medicines to the world even faster by embracing challenges, imagining what's possible and taking action.
What You Will Achieve
Working with a dynamic team of Logistics and Supply Chain experts, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing mid-to long-term supply chain strategies and networks through a range of activities. Some of the activities that you will manage include addressing capacity issues and production location decisions in support of business growth and execution of new programs. Your team will rely on your management skills while forecasting and planning key events, and new product launches. Your breadth of experience will be leveraged for increasing effectiveness of supply chain initiatives through monitoring key performance indicators and coordinating cross-functional work teams.
As a Senior Manager, your advanced knowledge of the principles and concepts in the discipline and comprehensive knowledge of other disciplines will enable you to lead complex projects across the division. Your ability to develop and manage plans will facilitate in achieving objectives, interpreting internal and external business challenges and recommending best practices for improvements. While managing complex project environments, you will be able to anticipate and troubleshoot roadblocks and influence teams to achieve targets for the division.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Develop ideas, lead or co-lead projects across the division, develops and manage plans to achieve objective.
  • Ensure high quality unit demand plans for assigned business unit across all products and alignment with commercial business strategies.
  • Incorporate Network Change into Operating Plan.
  • Facilitate multiple planning process improvements from inception to completion and report high level project status.
  • Assist and drive market transformation initiatives to further develop and raise the maturity of supply chain planning and logistics delivery capabilities.
  • Enhance stakeholder engagement and also communicate across functional units with related stakeholders.
  • Act as a thought leader to identify opportunities for improvement and diagnose root causes of supply planning, scheduling inefficiencies etc.
  • Identify opportunities for inventory reductions.
  • Identify and escalate supply issues to relevant regional teams or global supply team.
  • Provide guidance and support on how to model supply chain business scenarios and related planning strategies in the planning systems.


Qualifications
Must-Have

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 7+ years' professional experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large scale strategic projects
  • Knowledge or understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, particularly plant operations, planning, scheduling
  • Supply chain/manufacturing experience at various levels with knowledge of supply chain data management and analytics
  • General understanding of various industry standard operating procedures and policies.
  • Skilled and or expert at working with a lot of variables, complex data, and ability to synthesize and rive management decision making
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills


Nice-to-Have

  • Master's or PhD degree
  • Relevant pharmaceutical experience
  • Procurement and Project Management experience

Work Location Assignment: Flexible
Flexible colleagues are assigned a Pfizer site within a commutable distance where they work about 2-3 days weekly to connect and innovate with their team face-to-face. However, they also benefit from being able to work offsite regularly when it makes business sense to do so.
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $117,300.00 to $195,500.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
