As a member of the Global Analytics & Insights Team in Charlotte NC or in Tempe AZ, the Senior Manager of Category Analytics will lead analysts supporting multiple categories, including Packed and Dispensed Beverages, Candy, and Salty Snacks.

You are responsible for leading analytics for your categories across USA and Canada. This includes maintaining and developing tools, reports, dashboards and insights that support timely data-driven decision making.

To be successful in this role you will need to be able to work with analytics and business stakeholders, apply your deep understanding of how data and analytics can be leveraged to drive business results and execute them through your team of skilled analysts across USA and India.

You will be an everyday partner of multiple teams, including National Category Managers, Regional category teams, Global Merchandising Excellence, Technology, and Operations Leadership teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Develop, manage, and execute the analytical roadmap supporting the business objectives and strategic role of each category.
  • Lead and manage a team of data analysts across North America and India
  • Serve as the data-driven partner for our operational leadership teams, category teams and functional teams, supporting them in their priorities, but also challenge and prioritize based on data and insights you and your team uncover.
  • Own the analytical design and evaluation of business experiments impacting category performance.
  • Support strategic projects with analytical insights and collaborate with stakeholders across geographies to translate insights into business decisions
  • Support cross- functional analytical efforts impacting or being impacted by category teams
  • Identify and proactively create opportunities for meaningful collaboration within and across analytical and business teams.
  • Attract, develop and mentor team members, promoting professional growth and skill development.
  • Challenge existing processes and models constructively to advance and evolve how the organization approaches category analytics.
  • Effectively communicate complex analytical findings to non-analytical peers in a concise and understandable manner.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and experience

  • A higher degree in an analytical discipline such as Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or similar, preferred, though higher business degrees will also be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience delivering measurable results from category analytics, preferably from a large retailer.

Skills required:

  • Excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and in any geography.
  • Proven ability to drive change through data-driven insights in a matrixed organization.
  • Hands-on experience in analytics and reporting, preferably within a retail context.
  • Proficiency in modern data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI) and cloud platforms.
  • Experience in category and merchandising analytics
