The Sr. Manager of Business Operations will be responsible for helping to lead the long-term strategic planning process across all areas of the business, establishing key objectives and measurable goals, and ensuring teams are aligned and accountable to achieve these goals. This person will report to the Chief Business Officer and will be critical in scaling the organization, optimizing operational efficiency, and driving growth in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

What you’ll do:

  • Strategic Planning:
    • Help lead the development of the company’s long-term strategic plan, collaborating with the leadership team to define the vision and set priorities
    • Align strategic initiatives across business units to ensure cohesive execution and goal achievement
    • Oversee the development of long-term strategic roadmaps, and ensure alignment with operating, resource allocation, and financial plans and targets
    • Assess complex, strategic opportunities and threats and recommend actions to be taken on issues such as: new opportunity spaces and growth levers, go-to-market approach, competitive response, customer experience and retention strategies, and product roadmaps
  • KPI Development:
    • Partner with executive team to establish company-wide KPIs, ensuring they align with broader strategic goals
    • Develop frameworks for measuring success and progress on strategic initiatives
    • Collaborate with teams to track, measure, and report on KPIs, ensuring accountability and transparency
  • Financial & Operational Excellence:
    • Lead quarterly planning sessions to review progress, recalibrate strategy as needed, and establish clear objectives for the upcoming quarter
    • Partner with departments to build operational processes and roadmaps that ensure scalable growth
    • Drive cross-functional collaboration and break down silos to ensure operational efficiencies
    • Partner with Finance team to ensure efficient allocation of resources across the organization
    • Identify areas for cost savings, operational improvements, and increased profitability
  • Leadership & Team Management:
    • Serve as a key partner to the executive team, providing insights and recommendations for improving overall business performance
    • Ensure all stakeholder teams, including product, marketing, engineering, and legal, are aligned with the company’s strategic goals
    • Facilitate communication between departments to ensure consistency and unified focus on the company’s objectives
  • Market Analysis & Competitive Insights:
    • Conduct ongoing analysis of the market and competitive landscape, providing insights and recommendations to ensure PrizePicks remains at the forefront of the daily fantasy space
    • Identify new opportunities for growth and innovation within the fantasy sports and gaming industry
  • Corporate Development & M&A:
    • Support the evaluation of potential mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and strategic investments that align with the company's growth objectives
    • Conduct due diligence on prospective M&A targets, assessing financials, business models, market positioning, and potential synergies
    • Collaborate with legal and finance teams to facilitate deal negotiations, integration planning, and post-merger execution
    • Prepare materials for executive leadership to assess and present corporate development opportunities

What you have:

  • Experience:
    • 10+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, operations, investment banking, private equity, or a related field
    • 5+ years with a top-tier management consulting firm
    • 5+ years in a leadership role
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong business acumen, with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically
    • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams
    • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and partnering with stakeholders at all levels
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or related field from a top-tier institution
